The code is the two factor authentication, which makes your account more secure but might stop you getting a reservation as it slows you down :( You'll only get it if you've enabled two factor authentication on your Apple ID. When I picked up my reservation they never even asked to see my reservation, I just gave my name and they found me on their list on the iPad.

Ah right, forgot about 2fa, makes sense!

Ahh yes that'll be it. Thanks!

How soon does it take to get used to the home button? Jabbing mine already and it's only been set up 10 minutes.

Strange. Just checked my Apple ID online and I don't have 2 factor authentication switched on. I also did it from an iPhone that I've used my Apple ID on numerous times...

Occasionally Apple sends a text to verify you have a UK-registered mobile number (helps to stop automated scalping etc.). Happened to me. Separate to 2FA.

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has been with me on my journey from China to the UK - all my phones are here now 1 from UPS and 2 from DHL - its been one hell of a long wait but its over - i want to wish everyone the very best in enjoying their new goodies - till next year !! Cheers

Fantastic!! I had to keep coming back and checking - pleased they've arrived

Morning guys, just thought I'd check in and see how you are all getting on.

I've been using my 7+ JB for about a week now with only a leather sleeve for protection. It's been so much nicer using an iPhone for the first time without any protection. I haven't even installed my Best Skins Ever front and back protection, simply because I feel I would loose the feel of the JB case.

Yes I've picked up some micro abrasions but to be fair, the minute you breath on these phones they get a micro abrasion. Plus, to actually realise I had any micro abrasions, I've had to shine the phone in particular lighting to actually see them!

So I'm quite content and somewhat liberated to be using the phone as the designers intended :)

Also on a side note, I bought some over the ear Bluetooth headphones, which are quite frankly amazing, given there £39 price point. Definitely worth a punt - August EP650's! Google and you'll see everyone raves after them!

Thanks for this; I've been looking around at Bluetooth Headphone options and haven't seen one that's really appealed to me yet.

Don't forget you can go to Settings>General>Home Button and choose one of three feedback options.

For the first few minutes it seemed strange but am used to it now; even though it's a 2nd gen Home Button in terms of Touch ID it's a lot faster than my iPhone 6s Plus.

Which leather pouch/sleeve are you using?

Lucrin make fab pouches (and you can customize the hell out of them... initials, accented stitching, no logo...)
Hadn't used a pouch until recently as wanted something more professional looking for when I use my phone at work. These are perfect.

Currently using a cheap leather pouch purchased from Amazon, which to be honest, has done a good job. Certainly made me realise I enjoy the use of this kind of case.

Metallic silver!!!!

Interestingly...had an email from Groupon earlier, offering iP7+. Clicked on it, and was told that iP7+32GB in matte black/gold/rose gold/silver available in 7 working days lol!

Clicking through offer, orders fulfilled by Mobile Phones Direct. They state 10 days delivery (ties in with 7 working days). Kinda makes a mockery of those people (like me) whose orders aren't gonna be here until early Nov!

I suspect that these phones will not materialise in the time states by mobile phones direct. Third party resellers are notorious at promising what they cannot deliver on! (I notice that this particular 'business' is also charging more than Apple for them! Hmm wonder if they're still selling the galaxy note 7!?!

Looks like this thread has finally started running out of steam. One month after preorders began.. not bad going!

Have to say I'm so use to the plus size now. Still wary of dropping it one handed but adapting slowly! Roll on next September!

I tried using a sleeve/pouch but felt the matte black was too slippery. wish i could use it naked but can't. Sounds like the jet black is easier in the hand

So for anyone who is wondering if Apple delivery times are accurate, (I was when i ordered, and i hoped they were under promising).

I ordered a Matt Black 7+ from Apple on 30th September, the site quoted 3-4 weeks delivery. (Showed delivery 31st October - 7th November).

Apple Charged my card on 6th October. And Despatched my phone on 7th. It flew to Amsterdam (landing there on 8th).

It had a brief rest in Amsterdam, and left Amsterdam very early on the 11th and was in my hand by 3pm the same day.

So 11 days from order to delivery basically :) They quoted 3-4 Weeks.

Congrats on getting it so quick but I have to admit I'm super jealous. Ordered the exact same phone two days before you and still processing. How do they pick which ones get sent first? I would have presumed it was done on order date but obviously not.

Ordered my JB 128gb 7 three weeks ago today and it's still processing :(

Pleased you got it Bill. I was bloody annoyed your pallet didn't travel with the rest of us, especially as they told me it would. Still, they expedited it from Amsterdam direct to you on the same day
See you next year.
