Went from a 6 Plus, to a Nexus 6P, but I'm an iPhone guy at heart.

32GB Black 7 Plus hopefully for me tomorrow...

Dropping the 64gb from the plus phone and charging another £100 plus for the upgrade is taking the piss .Seriously going to be looking at the samsung range now.

Anybody confirm, is the "express checkout" option now no longer available?

Can't see it in my account settings anywhere, although I know I definitely used it previously.

Just a heads up - if you order from apple germany i.e apple.com/de you'll save a bit of money. That means for the 128MB 7 you will save about £40.

Didn't this happen last year? It disappeared between the announcement and pre-order?

Just had a look myself and it's not present for me either.

Cheers. I skipped the 6S last year, so probably didn't notice the option had gone.

1.009EUR to a pound - where did you get that figure? The current rate is 1.18EUR and the overnight mastercard rate is 1.19EUR. Use a Virgin Money Mastercard and you're saving almost £50

Like others, really disappointed with the pricing. Combination of Brexit Blues and a little Apple Revenge Tax for the EU / Irish tax decision...?

Nobody's forced to buy, of course.

I've got a 6s+ 64gb for which I've been offered £435 by RecycleMySmartphone. That's not a bad price but I'd need to find another (nearly) £400 for the mid-range 7+ which is just insane. One of the positives about Apple products is that they hold their value and you don't have to pay out too much come upgrade time. Not this year!

I'm not giving Apple £400 for a speed / camera bump in a new colour.

I'm going to pre-order as soon as its 8:01am. I'm just wondering if i need to restart the Apple Store app as soon as pre-orders start so that the pre-order page works?

Anybody doing the rumoured Apple upgrade program? Tempted to go this route

Its no longer rumoured... Its a fact...!

I was very tempted to sign up for this.
11 x 44.45 for iPhone 7 Plus 128GB + 49 one off fee + Apple Care = 660 quid
You are basically renting a phone.

However, buying outright 819 quid and can possibly sell in 12 month for 400 at least = 420 quid without Apple care.

I would save a lot of hassle though, tbh.

Thanks for doing that.
I think you're right, it might actually be best to buy it outright (if you are in a position to do so), and then perhaps sell it next year.
Hold on, what happens after a year, I assume it's a 24 month deal, at 0% interest? If you keep the phone for 2 years, maybe it works out?

You have the choice to upgrade after 11 months and if you want to keep the phone you contribute till the full 20 months. No brainer

Ahh right, so it's like a car contract hire agreeement. Give it back, or keep paying Apple and you can a new phone each year. So people that did it last year in the US, they now can get a 7 for free? And give the old phone back?

Yes but still paying into the agreement etc

Applecare is included in the payments......no need to add it :)

Lets see 20 month:
20 x 44.45 = 889 + 49 one off fee = 938 quid which is the phone plus apple care. Yes, its interest free, but you still commit yourself to 44 quid each month. I can do either way, not sure yet, but tempted to buy outright. At that point it is MY phone.

Of course I understand it is an option if you don't want to pay the amount upfront and as long as it is interest free I don't think you can go wrong...

Probably not the same, but a Car insurance offer roughly the same and I always pay upfront. Its don't, dusted and I don't need to worry about it...
