So what is the deal with very phones though? CPW is selling contracts for Networks. Very is only selling the phone, so should be 100% unlocked...?!

I have brought a phone from very.co.uk as well...

Even if its not truly unlocked (which it is, i believe), when you change service provider a one off cost of ~£10 is not gonna break the bank on a £719+ phone :)

So if thats the only thing holding you back, just add another £10 to the cost and don't worry about it.

Ordered this case for now

The only unlocked iPhones are sold by Apple. If you buy an iPhone from the likes of carphone warehouse, very etc it will lock to the first sim card. I thought everyone knew this.

[EDIT]
From carphone warehouses website:

"iPhone will lock itself to the network of the first SIM card that is used in the phone. Subsequently attempting to use it on any other network, for example by replacing the SIM card, may mean it becomes permanently unusable. SIM free iPhones can only be used with a UK-network SIM card, and will not accept foreign SIM cards."

John Lewis also sell completely unlocked iPhones. They !!!! DO NOT !!!! lock to the first network of the sim you put in. I can speak for this. I purchased an iPhone 6s from them and have used SIM's from multiple carriers.

Sorry for the bold, red and underlined text, but people spreading false information is starting to annoy me!

I prefer the 7 Plus myself but it depends if you would be happier with the dual lens camera over being able to store it in your pocket much more easily and for ease of one handed operation etc.
I've opted for plus the last two years and have never looked back. Even my wife is on a 6 plus now from a 5C. I think Nokia's conditioned us for small phones and now we realise that out phone is so.much more than a device to put to our ear. Once you realise that, you'll appreciate the greater screen real estate. That said I completely get the difficulty in tieing my shoes up in the morning with the plus in my pocket!

I just cancelled my order for the jet black iPhone 7 plus 128gb and re-ordered the 128gb black. I don't like cases and just too many people saying it will scratch easy. Funny enough the new order is due a week before the old order now. Happy days!

Was going to grab the 128gb 7+ until I saw the price. I can't justify over £800 so went with the 128gb iPhone 7 in silver. Collection next Friday at MK store.

They should of kept the 64gb, prices are far too high this year

After the usual £1.00 hold on my Amex this morning immediately after placing the order, just had a notification come through that they have now charged the full £699 (despite still showing as pending transaction)...
Doesn't this usually only happen much closer to dispatch?!

Yes! Apple usually take the money on the Wednesday for a Friday delivery?

So, Apple re-enabled the stock reservation system they built for the iPhone 5S and 6 in order to allow iPhone Upgrade Program orders today, which means I was able to reactivate my stock data system (though, 28 minutes late, because I wasn't expecting it, gah)

Here's some graphs on UK wide store reservation stock. Technically, this is only for iPP sales...

Plus Models

THIS IS REALLY INTERESTING!!!!

It shows Apple NEVER had pick up stock of the Black Plus models (matte or jb)...

I ordered a matte black 128GB Plus at 8.05ish and its coming up as delivery 27-29 Sep. On the basis that they never had stock to collect (and maybe none to deliver on launch day) that makes me think we have a better chance of an earlier delivery, who knows maybe even for launch day.

I HAD to have a 7Plus on the 16th so I reserved a 32GB rose gold one for pick up just to keep my busy the week or so until the black arrives... but I may not need it.

Interestingly my apple watch 2 order went through simple enough for the 16th but now shows 2-3 weeks. My only issue is I am going to have to keep £2,137 credit in my account as I have no idea when they will ship or be charged!

Can't remember if it was this thread I posited in or not.

I went to my local Apple Store and they said, although I've reserved the 7, if there was stock, I could get the Plus instead if I wanted.

Just putting it out there if people have reserved the 7 but have decided to get the Plus instead. (He also said check on the website tomorrow as the Plus might be able to be reserved.)
There is always the possibility to change, but it depends on stock levels. Last year I tried to do that to get the Rose Gold version and couldn't.

I've just checked my Apple Pay transactions for our phones using my iPad…

Yeah, of course. I heard they aren't allowing "walk-ins" so hopefully they've set aside a certain amount of Plus models and I can take one of them instead.

Yes Carphone Warehouse don't sell unlocked iPhones, they sell contract phones sim-free which lock to the first network. Other providers DO sell unlocked iPhones, so if Carphone Warehouse tell you all phones lock to first network other than bought from Apple that is a flat out lie and just trying to make it sound like their sim-free iPhones are no worse than from anywhere else.

I called Apple and was told there won't be any stock allocation for walk-ins. It will only be for people who has reserved for the upgrade programme.

My bloody bank have blocked the payment even though I have enough funds in the account. Now I have to wait 10 minutes before I can try again. Not happy

OMG, this just changed my mind! Been obsessing over jet black all day, now want matt black 7+!!

I've just ordered a matte black. Going to wait 24 hours or so before making my mind up but Jett black not looking likely now. Micro scratches all ready?!
