The silicone case for the 6 and 7 has gone up from £25 to £35. That's 40%!!!

I love Apple products as much as anyone round here and I have spent fortunes over the years but I am not a sucker and I refuse to be an Apple apologist. Where there is valid criticism, it should be made.

Attributing a 40% price increase to currency fluctuations is just ridiculous.

A certain price increase could possibly be justified, but hiking something as simple as a case by 40% is definitely pushing their luck in the extreme.

I have a quote from envirofone. They've sent me a text. Can you tell me how it works? Do they send me packaging to send my phone? They said I have to send it in 14 days. Does this mean I can send in say, 12 days from now?

They send you packaging and have to receive your phone by and including the 14th day. So you could send on the 13th day guaranteed delivery and be fine. Last year my phone was being delivered after the 14 days and it was mentioned that if they don't receive you phone by about 9-10 days, they send you an email to ask if you have changed your mind or if you want an extra 7 days. The extra 7 days allowed me to send if after I got my new 6s Plus.

Got my 7 (Black, 32GB) ordered this morning via O2 for Click & Collect at my local store "from 16th September".

£59.99 up front, £25 per month device plan and £21.50 for unlimited calls/texts and 3GB data. I get 25% off the £21.50 via O2 Open though.

Good deal.

Is there going to be massive queues at the stores next Friday? Not sure if to have it shipped or picked up

MK store

When you say reserve is this the instore pick up or the traditional reservation where you pay in store? And can we not do the upgrade programme and just pay out right.

Aren't they the same thing? Reserving for in-store pickup and reserving and paying in-store??

Oh, that's good. So there's no problem getting the extra 7 days then?

Do you know that to be true, or are you speculating? Others say not eg: John Lewis. People take things they read online to be Gospel, guessing doesn't help anyone.

I quoted directly from the carphone warehouse website. In addition I returned my iPhone to CPW last year for this very reason, at the time the customer service rep confirmed that "the only, truly unlocked iPhones have to be purchased from Apple."

Now, the CW rep may have been mistaken, and I have not been able to find a similar disclaimer on the Very site but I would be wary about purchasing a "sim free" phone from a non-Apple source.

I have queued there before, its a shambles. take a big, big bat because you'll start off 10th and end up 100th by the time the scalpers/ their cousins / pets / goldfish and anything else they can bring to claim more phones but in. you'll be so outnumbered you can't say or do anything about it.

I also wouldn't hold out any hope of plus iPhones in stock, especially if the online orders haven't shipped.

*****? I ordered my upgrade from O2 at 8.30 for a 7 plus 256GB Silver and delivery to store is by 23/09.
My bro has JUST (17:30) done an upgrade with O2 for the EXACT SAME MODEL for delivery, and was told will deliver on the 16/09

There wasn't last time. And I'm hoping there isn't this time. However earlier today what envirofone were offering me for my 6s Plus 128GB was the same as it was on Tuesday. So if it's the same on Monday I may do it again lol

okay guys I've made a final decision I got the plus like in the first place 20-22nd delivery. I will make myself use it for a full week before I decide what to do

Good idea. Might try that myself.

For me, I have 2 7 Pluses on order, a 256GB (26 Sept-3 Oct) and a 128GB (4 Oct- 10 Oct) and am going to cancel one. I couldn't decide if I could afford the 256 but then thought that if I do get the 256 I can put all my music on it and cancel Apple Music that is costing me £119 a year. So that makes that decision easier.....

Same as last year aren't they? 30GB for £35 a month?

I have to say compared to Vodafone o2 are quite reasonable this year IMHO.

To anyone who ordered with o2 directly as a new customer is there anything showing in your My o2 account online yet?

Have had my email confirmation earlier on this morning but nothing online as yet.

Today marks a very sad day for me. I think this is the first year I havent got a phone on launch I have decided to drop all my orders because I just cant get used to the fact of which size I want :'(

I prefer the 7 Plus myself but it depends if you would be happier with the dual lens camera over being able to store it in your pocket much more easily and for ease of one handed operation etc.

So are they allowing the open discount on iPhone 7 plans then? I asked o2 staff and they could not give me a straight answer

re very.co.uk
sim free unlocked?
Hi bought iPhone 5s from very.co.uk, put my EE sim card in, working great, then decided to have iPhone 6 so gave iphone 5s to daughter she put in her sim card in on 3 and got sim not valid not supported under activation service? very .co.uk told me their iphones are purchased direct from the Apple store unlocked ? Any ideas as to what is going on I thought unlocked ment unlocked to any uk network as stated on the very .co.uk website. Any help much appreciated

The only source for unlocked phones in the UK is directly from Apple. All others will lock to the first carrier used.

Boo, shipping didn't move up for me. (8:04 email).

I think most of us ordered the Black 7 Plus 128GB. So far we've heard two people getting their dates moved forward, and one of those people has provided a screenshot showing they ordered the 256GB Black Plus.

I have ordered the 7+ 256GB black and mine still says ships 6-8 days with estimated delivery 27-29 sep

Just bought one of these until I decide if I want an apple case. I have 2 apple cases for my 6s plus and bought one of these for my sons 5s and was impressed with it

Nice looking case, I've been looking at the spiegen cases as I think I want a transparent case to show of the 'jet black' colour. Like you, in the past I have always bought apple cases (infact I have a brand new saddle.leather 6s plus case if anyone is after one), but this year at £50 I'm going to put my foot down and say NO! That said I want a case jat isn't going to scratch the phone like my original iPhone 2G was when I put a slider case on it. The nice thing about able cases is that they are felt lined.

Don't see why not mate, we get it via our work (I work for a financial services company) and we've never had any issues with previous iPhones.

I'll let you know soon enough either way.
