See my above posts. The Jett Black is prone to scratching and fingerprints. It was even showing scratches at the launch! I can't buy such an expensive phone if it's going to scratch that easily. Going for a matte black instead.

100% my reasoning too. It's not good enough on such an expensive device. That's why there's no Mac's in Jet Black.

Interestingly they aren't showing the Jet Black Plus. Maybe they know they won't get any.

CPW has clearly stated that they won't get any until at least OCT. the yield rate is low, even Apple said in the video that not all finishes are perfect. Something like 3 out of 10 pass QC?

So, i made a reservation for the upgrade program at the liverpool store for a 32gb black iphone 7, it showed saying your reservation is succesful and had a code i should show in store, i screenshotted it but received no email confirmation, so i tried again and it said i had made too many reservations.
I made a new apple id and reserved another 32gb black iphone 7 this time i got the confirmation and the email, but neither of them show up on my order page, is this normal?
I can see mine under 'reservations' in the app.

Stormfront are still availible for all colours for pr-orde stock.
I've just received an e-mail from them to Pre-order the iphone 7, although there are no shipping/delivery estimates on their website. I called them to find out and they said "we are still to confirming the delivery dates when the stock is received. We will process pre-orders first"

I didn't order as this could be anywhere from launch day (I doubt it) to October-November. No thank you

BTW I used them before (MacBook Pro) and they are fine, particularly with the 0% interest financing (not offered for the iphone 7 at the moment) and 3-year warranty on all Apple products

I've still got my Apple order processing for a 7+ 256GB Matte Black (Dark Knight Black). 22-27 Sep

Hahah oh dear I'm remembered ;P
Just faffing around with my orders going from standard to plus and it's driving me insane!!! :( really can't get my head around it
Just try out the 7+ for the 14 days and return if you just can't use to the size. The last 2 years I've not spent more than 2 days with the plus sizes so will give it a longer chance.

Yeah ive went apple too, got my in store pick up on a Jet Black iPhone 7 128GB Launch Day

Sorry, I call BS. There is something more to this story. Remember Apple are ultimately the lockers and unlockers of iPhones, doing so via their activation servers at the request of carriers and other authorised parties. Apple will not lock an IMEI issued by them as unlocked.

Hi,

Many thanks for the info. Will try another provider's sim in the phone to physically check if locked or not. But as I said, my EE account states the phone is locked. Intriguing n'es pas!

The plus hands down. When people tell me they have to charge their non pluses twice a day I instantly know I made the right choice. Not to mention the 1080p HD screen, 3GB ram in the 7 and better real estate for browsing. Yes it's a little bigger but it's fine after a couple of weeks. Also, as a satnav it's outstanding.

Hmm, my 6s plus and SE didn't lock to EE and I bought those both from Apple and my contract is with EE...

Will check the phone with another provider's sim to physically check. Have added a screen grab of the EE page showing the phone is locked. And as I said, the call to EE also confirmed it.

Will revert when checked with another sim

Yep. Visiting Guernsey Vodafone would absolutely rip me off because despite owning all the networks there (Airtel-Vodafone), they don't/didn't count Guernsey in their Euro travel zone. EE does.

Oh no! How come? I remember you posting about your 6S last year - how time flies.

Haha I remember you too. You were posting continuously

With a few people now saying they have cancelled their jet black iPhones, I wonder if those of us who still have orders will get bumped up quicker, probably just wishful thinking tho!!

Don't get me started on the My Account area of EE.

Don't believe anything it says, it's just so bad. I too have that message on unlocked phones on my account. Don't worry about it.

Sounds like me! :D

I think that's just boilerplate. I've got that on my EE account but I know that over its life my iPhone 6S has had SIMs from EE, Vodafone and Three without any issues.

Yes, hoping others get my cancellation. I was showing late Sept for my JB.

I doubt 3-4 people on here is going to change anything
Yeah but if three to four Macrumors pre-order thread posters - stereotypically the most eager demographic to get the latest iPhone - cancel their orders, what can we expect the general ordering population are doing?

I think you've just totally misunderstood EE's site. That doesn't confirm your iPhone is locked to EE. That's just the standard option on their 'My Account' page.
