I am not buying this year, but this is ridiculous. This year you can't order when using wifi, you have to use mobile signal. What is it going to be next year?

Not true. I ordered on my iPad via wifi. Worked just fine.

Unfortunately delivery somewhere between Oct 4-10 for 7+ black 128GB, having ordered by 12:15 PDT. Not happy with that, but oh well.

Ordered 7 Plus 256GB Jet Black on Verizon Est delivery date Sept 19th, The order was placed @ 12:28 PST

Don't mean to interrupt a flow in this thread, please feel free to direct me to another one. I just enrolled in the upgrade program tonight. Will I receive further information on making payments early or am I left to figure that out for myself?

Edit: Just wanted to know if I could make some early payments via Citizens One and how that was managed.
Picked up my Apple Update phone in the store last year. When I signed the receipt, I got some information at the store, followed up by email from Citizens One. Not sure how it works with shipped units ... maybe the paperwork is in the shipping box.

Finally got through on VZW business site - kept giving exception errors - you'd think they would realize this was crunch time :-( I'll finally upgrade mine from the 5 to the 7.

7 256gb/black deliver 9/16
7+ 256gb/black deliver 9/23

We'll see what happens...

Great thank you. I am selling the phone that I have now and with what I am getting for it, it will cover about six months payments and I just wanted to apply that early if possible. I appreciate your reply.

What's crazy, the word was that the pluses were in short supply. Was the same last year. You have to move quick and order from whichever site is up first(apple, carrier).
Yea for sure. Didn't think it would be THIS crazy. iPhone 6 launch was way smooth for me, I was able to get what I wanted the next morning. Granted it wasn't a Plus.

I just enrolled in the Apple Upgrade Plan today, but for future releases and to give the program another perk nobody else has, Apple should email their Upgrade Plan customers the day of the iPhone announcement and allow them to give advanced notice that they want to upgrade as long as they do so within 24 hours or something. Would take a lot of pressure off the servers on the pre-order date and get them a lot more customers using their plan. Just a (wishful) thought.

NO!!! I've been on the site since 11:55 and was able to get as far as choosing the phone and selecting the payment plan but for some reason cannot get past this page? I hit next step, the loading circle comes up, but it just stays on this page forever. I've tried using another browser, doing it on my phone, through the Sprint Zone app (which is entirely down on my end), with no luck :( WHY SPRINT

Anyone have any luck preordering with Sprint? their order line is closed and the upgrade option online isn't available when I click on it.

I don't have or want an account with any of the big 4 carriers in US. I just wanted to buy a phone. There was nothing I could have done right? Since every website wanted my number or account info?

Did you see both the black colors?? The Jet Black IMAGES were the SAME as the Matte Black??? I was so confused on what to do

Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus through its online storefront and through the Apple Store app. Pre-orders are being accepted in all first wave launch countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, the UK, US Virgin Islands and the US.

All of the major U.S. carriers, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, are accepting pre-orders for the new devices. Major online retailers including Best Buy and Target are also accepting pre-orders starting on September 9.

Apple has said supplies of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be constrained, so it's a good idea to pre-order a device right away if you're hoping to for a launch-day delivery. Jet Black iPhone 7 Pluses had a delivery date of September 26 to October 3 right when pre-orders launched.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come in 32, 128, and 256GB configurations, with five color options: Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Black, and Jet Black, the new glossy shade. Jet Black is only available in 128 and 258GB.

In the United States, iPhone 7 pricing starts at $649 for the 32GB model. The 128 and 256GB models are priced at $749 and $849, respectively.

iPhone 7 Plus starts at $769 for the 32GB model. The 128GB and 256GB models are priced at $869 and $969, respectively.

With the iPhone Upgrade Program, which allows users to get a new iPhone each year with AppleCare+ support, iPhone 7 pricing starts at $32.41 per month and iPhone 7 Plus pricing starts at $37.41 per month.

The earliest pre-orders will likely be delivered to customers on September 16, which is the official launch date for the two devices.

So basically 7 Plus and both black models were in short supply.

Not on Verizon. For the Plus models the Black 7 Plus 128GB and 256GB showed the earliest shipping of Sep 23rd. Only the ugly ass Rose Gold 128GB 7 Plus showed 9/16. The rest of the colors are past 9/23. Bastards!!!
Guess no one likes the Rose Gold. That seems to be the only color available for the upgrade program in any of the stores in Illinois.

Considering that Apple knows how many people are registered for the upgrade program, they should of had an idea of how many phones they'd need to service the upgrades. Pitiful planning on their part in regards to inventory management at local stores.

Yup, the only Plus model I found shipping on 9/16 from Verizon is the ugly Rose Gold 128GB model. WTF!!!

Yeah they are forcing verification through a carrier, so if you want to just buy a phone outright and then use it on another account or carriers you are basically S. H. I. T out of luck. Seems Apple has bowed to the carriers to do this. Last year I was able to select a carrier for pickup and it didn't require any kind of verification. OH Well, I was on the fence about upgrading anyway, so this just mades it easier. I'll stick with my current phone for now. I really wish I would have went my ass to bed now.

Ordering thru Apple and choosing the T-Mobile model doesn't require any account info. However, it's GSM only.

Man this thread is full of buyers up late to get their orders in. Where's all the people who said they weren't buying this year or that the iPhone 7 was a flop? Sleeping I guess. They're missing the show.

Lol pretty much this exact comment gets posted every year. Been that way since the pre-orders started.

I am pretty sure they have an early payoff option ... since there is "no interest" though, not sure what the advantage is in paying it off quickly.

My Apple Watch order (Series 2 42mm Space Grey Aluminum Black Sport Band) went through quickly but after numerous attempts to order an iPhone 7 Plus (Regular Black 256GB) and multiple "Password not entered correctly errors" from Verizon, I received a Reservation (!?!). It's the first time I have ever seen a reservation before.

Hoping that everyone else's orders have gone through smoothly. Good luck, friends!
