Preordered a "Black" 256GB iPhone 7 Plus from Verizon but my deliver date is 9/23. Went with the 256GB in hopes that not as many people ordered the larger size.
Yea looks like that's available. It's the Plus black models that were immediately not available for the upgrade program. If not immediately maybe for just a minute. Surely we agree this is unacceptable for the world's largest tech company.

Apple has said supplies of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be constrained, so it's a good idea to pre-order a device right away if you're hoping to for a launch-day delivery. Jet Black iPhone 7 Pluses had a delivery date of September 26 to October 3 right when pre-orders launched.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come in 32, 128, and 256GB configurations, with five color options: Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Black, and Jet Black, the new glossy shade. Jet Black is only available in 128 and 258GB.
In the United States, iPhone 7 pricing starts at $649 for the 32GB model. The 128 and 256GB models are priced at $749 and $849, respectively.

With the iPhone Upgrade Program, which allows users to get a new iPhone each year with AppleCare+ support, iPhone 7 pricing starts at $32.41 per month and iPhone 7 Plus pricing starts at $37.41 per month.
The earliest pre-orders will likely be delivered to customers on September 16, which is the official launch date for the two devices.

AWESOME!! Well, it didn't for me. I guess you're extra special.Actually, the Verizon app allowed you to preorder early. At least for me, confirmation email at 2:05 Eastern.
Got in on AT&T about 5 minutes before release and they were saying the ship date was end of September. I passed on that.
I pushed my luck and ordered within 10 minutes of 12:01 PDT on Apple.com and I am 2-3 weeks out. iPhone 7 Plus unlocked to AT&T 128gb in Flat Black. Craaaazy. Might still try the store next Friday.
Certainly doesn't help your situation but T-Mobile doesn't make you do any of those checks. I ordered from the Apple Store app on my iPhone, chose the T-Mobile version and paid. No phone number required. If only Apple made the CDMA/Qualcomm/Verizon phone available this way then that would have been perfect.Go to hell Verizon. I want to pay FULL COST on an unlocked model, yet I'm being told I'm not "upgrade eligible." Uhh, FULL COST you morons. It's so stupid we can't just buy completely unlocked phones without the bs of getting carriers involved.
I ordered right away so my hope is that the jet black 7+ is what they have the lowest supply of so they don't want to promise release date even though many will get it then. Maybe I am just being too hopeful.
And so much **** was being talked about the iPhone 7. I felt like I was the only person excited for it.Wow, Shipping Dates are Already For November!!!!! That's CRAZY!!!
Was anyone able to get one of the Jet Black 7+ with release day delivery using Apple?
I'm so upset that I wasn't able to get a phone the day its released. I have to wait until October to get mine. I was trying to access the store at 3:01 EST and it wouldn't work until 3:08 and while checking out the times slipped two weeks! At least I got my watch through best buy.com and that'll be coming on launch day, at least some positivity came out of this already stressful morning, at least time to go to bed and get up for work in 3 hours.
