A little disappointed. Got in about 12:07, upgrading a T-Mobile iPhone 6S+ on the Apple plan to a 7S+. No 256 at the Santa Monica store, only Rose Gold 128. Tried a bunch of other stores but there were no T-Mobile 7S+ available at all. Finally found a &+ in Silver at The Grove. Interestingly enough, the phone just says GSM. When I looked in Santa Monica, there were phones available for AT&T customers ... I wondered about ordering, but wasn't sure but the phone just said (GSM) so I wonder if I could have just reserved another carrier. I took the earliest time slot ... in the past, I was able to get a different phone at the store (I think they were stealing from release day stock) so I am still hoping that I might be able to get one of the black phones instead, but if it is a silver phone, that wouldn't be the worst situation.

I then read online that phones were available to new purchasers not on the Apple upgrade plan. And here I thought we would get special treatment as an Apple Upgrade customer ...

fwiw, after reserving my time slot, I went back into the app and ordered an AW2. 38mm (I have small wrists), Space Black (although maybe I should have gone with silver to match my phone). Got a delivery date of Sept 23rd ... wonder if I was bumped down the queue because I was buying a phone ...

A less than stellar experience purchasing on opening night ... I was surprised that the release date was so soon after the announcement but now I have to wonder if the initial releases are VERY limited.
 
Exactly the same here (UK). It says "ships in 6 to 8 business days" but delivery for 27-29 Sep. The UK website was down until at least 8.10am and the app opened up at around 8.05am - my email come through at 8.08am and I'm pissed that i'm not getting launch day!

I remember last year many people got their before the expected delivery date. Let's just cross our fingers

Guess no one likes the Rose Gold. That seems to be the only color available for the upgrade program in any of the stores in Illinois.

Considering that Apple knows how many people are registered for the upgrade program, they should of had an idea of how many phones they'd need to service the upgrades. Pitiful planning on their part in regards to inventory management at local stores.
 
Yes, keep doing it and it will just reserve a phone for you and you finish it tommorow.

Just got a pop-up about the reservation but never received an email like the pop-up mentioned? Is it sending the email to the email address listed on my Apple app profile or my AT&T account email? This is so frustrating!
 
If you are on the Apple Upgrade Program you are screwed. No black or jet black available on day 1. Apple did this with the watches.

If all of your product isn't going to be available on release day DONT release it!!
I'm picking up my black 128GB 7 between 8 and 8.30 on 9/16...

2 series two watches ordered but can't pick up in store boo
I'm shocked the watches are already slipping in delivery dates.

I planned on waiting so I can go to the store and try on both sizes but now I'm wondering if I should have just preordered.
 
From what we can tell, I don't believe so. The earliest arrival date I've seen (mine) is 26 Sept - 03 Oct

I ordered right away so my hope is that the jet black 7+ is what they have the lowest supply of so they don't want to promise release date even though many will get it then. Maybe I am just being too hopeful.
 
Got in on AT&T about 5 minutes before release and they were saying the ship date was end of September. I passed on that.

I pushed my luck and ordered within 10 minutes of 12:01 PDT on Apple.com and I am 2-3 weeks out. iPhone 7 Plus unlocked to AT&T 128gb in Flat Black. Craaaazy. Might still try the store next Friday.
 
Got the same thing changed the date right when I got to the last portion of placing the order.

Mine changed before I placed the order too. Just by a few days but still. I hope they deliver way earlier than that.
 
So in germany now the estimated shipping date for both 7+ Jet Black is "November" :D
 
If I purchase through the iPhone upgrade program (Verizon), am I bound to a contract to Verizon to keep that line open?

Yea looks like that's available. It's the Plus black models that were immediately not available for the upgrade program. If not immediately maybe for just a minute. Surely we agree this is unacceptable for the world's largest tech company.

Apparently I can't order anything other than a Galaxy S7 on T-Mobile's site. I'm furious right now. WTF? I thought everyone was boycotting this iPhone?

What a circus. I got all set on ATT for a 7+ matte black 256 and then it balled up. So then I go to Apple and it is down, do the refresh boogie and catch it right away. Even typing as fast as I could, I got the phone and a leather case for 9/26-9/29.

That was kind of nuts...
 
Wanted to get the Jet Black at Polaris Fashion Place int he Columbus area. No Jet Black available and only Easton Town Center was available for pickup. I noticed half of the Ohio Stores aren't available for Pickup through the iPhone Upgrade Program. I read about the Jet Black being more susceptible to scratches, so I don't know if this is a blessing in disguise, but I'm not thrilled about traveling further to pick it up, but it isn't the worst. Anyone else in the area get lucky with Jet Black in store?
