Isn't this because US prices don't include taxes when advertised whereas European prices do?
20% tax on $699 puts you to $778 which is close enough to $799.
Got the same thing changed the date right when I got to the last portion of placing the order.
At first just the Plus was delayed but the 4.7" is now delayed as well. Not surprising though.
iPhone 7 Plus Rose gold 256 GB and Ceramic Apple Watch both ordered and I have a date of Sept 16th! Interesting how they won't let you change the shipping addresses on the phones. Will only ship to the billing address on the carrier.
Exactly the same here (UK). It says "ships in 6 to 8 business days" but delivery for 27-29 Sep. The UK website was down until at least 8.10am and the app opened up at around 8.05am - my email come through at 8.08am and I'm pissed that i'm not getting launch day!

Same for me. Did you get any kind of email? I haven't gotten anything besides that confirmation screen and when I go back into my account it says no orders.

Me and my brother sat in the same room and mine went up before his. We were fortunate to both get instant confirmations via email and sept 16 delivery dates. I was scared for him for a moment. It is however the first time I was able to get a delivery date on release. The both of us went for the 128 gb jet black. May the odds be ever in your favor.
UPDATE: I guess the My Verizon password and Billing password are completely different?

Couldn't get on via online or app. Finally did. When I did, started the process online then it had me verify my Verizon billing password. I had to reset. Entered the new password...says it is incorrect. Tried again and again...even switched over to the app to do it.
Locked me out for 60 minutes! Lovely.
Either Apple or Verizon flipped up. Unbelievable.

128 black here for att, also through the app. I've found that force closing the app and repeatedly opening the app back up gets you in pretty fast. had mine ordered and checked out at 2:04

What a disappointing experience. First the store is down much longer than announced. Then my attempts to use the upgrade program fail three times (can't connect to AT&T but will reserve a phone, then that fails, too). Then I switch to full upfront payment, and that works but the delivery estimate is now Oct 18-31. And I got up in the middle of the night for this?

Well, ar 3:03 AM EDT, I had my matte black 128 GB 7 Plus (AT&T Next Every Year) ordered for day 1 delivery on next Friday the 16th, but then Apple Pay wouldn't work. Then the app changed back to offline, (I'm ordering with the Apple Store app on my 6S Plus) and when it came back up, the shipping date had slipped to Sep 27. I canceled the order and started over just to be sure, and the shipping date slipped to Oct 10. Sigh. Oh well, I ordered it anyway.
Yeah the Apple Store app locked me out because apparently my zip code was "incorrect". So now I'm locked out for 60 minutes. Thanks Apple!
