iPhone 7/Plus iPhone 7 - ios12 update, 5-6 hours

So I updated my iPhone 5S and my iPhone X yesterday to ios12.

Each time I connect to iTunes, encrypted backup, then restore with the backup. Whole process takes 1-2 hours including the fresh backup.

I tried it with my iPhone 7 today expecting no issues, but oh boy. It took from 12am to 7am to backup to iTunes, and its now estimating a 5 hour restore time.

Is this normal? Anyone else experience this? What did you do to fix it?
