Headphone jacks are more than capable of playing high resolution music. The Astell & Kern 380 can play 32bit 384khz audio files and its main output is a headphone jack. That's not just high resolution... That's stupid-high... As in, no album has ever been recorded at that resolution.
I think you are right. The 7 is going to be a big push on Apple Music and beats headphones using the new port, those who don't buy into it, get a new camera.
I like that it is the same thickness! But what is going on with those benzels! I was hoping Apple would get ride of them!

a. TC's intention is all about maximising profit margins – minimal investment : maximum profit gains.
b. Ivy hits a design mental block.
d. Apple has all the confidence that market would buy whatever they put out.
My guess is that they are counting on lower sales this year and taking the risk so that next year they can call it a big revolution and sell much much more. We will see....but this year definitely not going to buy it. I can't believe we are stuck with one of the worst iPhone designs for three generations.
Don't know...but somehow I hope that it flops really hard if it looks the same. Something very strange is going on at apple. Maybe Ive is obsessed with the next watch and leaves the iPhone design to interns...smh

True. iPhone6 was not the best design from Apple. Nothing classy at all. Of course, it is a personal thingy.

I agree, sure it always comes to personal taste...and it's still better than other smartphones out there but this is a very very lazy design for Apple standard.
The thing that I don't get....they have much more employees and know-how today than they had when iPhone 4 came out. But today they are so slow and lazy with many of their products. I really hope they are working on something very big (don't mean the car) and that they are distracted by that. One can only hope

By the sounds of all these rumours it looks like I would want to skip this generation and wait for the big redesign, however my poor iPhone 6 is not in good shape and I don't know if it will last another year.
Its suffered the dreaded bendgate issue even though always been in a case, the headphone port is knackered and if I'm moving about with headphones connected in my pocket it shorts out and plays up, and then theres the battery which can be on 40% one minute then suddenly drop to 1% only to shoot back up to 40% the minute I plug it in.
I have an external battery pack to solve the battery issue (I've tried calibrating the battery but its not worked) I have a bluetooth headphone adapter to solve the busted headphone jack which is much better anyway as its a louder fuller sound than the jack used to be.
However with all those I still dunno if i can get another year out of my iPhone 6.
I've always said the iPhone 6 has been my best phone ever but also my worst. Its a nice size I can do lots on it and its my go to device because it doesn't feel cramped compared to the 4S it replaced, however the build quality has been the worst of any iPhone I've ever had the 4S was a tank compared to the 6.

Maybe one of those sturdy phone for kids or elder people will suit you better. My 6 plus from day one is still in mint condition because I take care of my stuff.
right? people dont care as much about hardware specs as they do about design. tell my friends "but it got 2GB of ram now!" all i get is "k ... but it looks the same?"
