clearly a fake to me..
the drawings top left doesnt match to the camera hole in the back view.
and no speaker holes in the lower left for sake of symmetry? (as soneone pointed out earlier)

You'd think if they took away the headphone jack they'd at least add speaker holes to the other side for the sake of being symmetrical..

Interesting that this schematic lacks speaker holes where the 3.5mm jack would have been. This is definitely good news if a real leak since it means Apple won't be putting in pointless stereo speakers.

An adapter for $29 is probably the reason, and no doubt the release of iPhone 7 will coincide with brand new wireless Beats headphones , which also have not been updated for a long time.

Expect a new range of Beats headphones that offer some gimmick feature with the iPhone, might even be tied to Apple Music.

They will claim the age of wired audio is finally over, and showcase products that are wireless.
I don't care about the adapter. It will have lighting headphones in the box. Also both my 2010 and 2015 cars have both USB audio. The 2015 has bluetooth audio.

I think there's a small portion who need to use legacy headphones or older audio equipment with the iPhone using a 3.5mm cable. And the adapter will do for them.

so , what is there on the right size? 2 volume buttons, the mute switch and the other one?? and what are the device top 2 circles ?

iPhone Pro

They'll add an extra core to claim an CPU speed increase (that won't be used by most software, so it is almost dead weight). New dual lens camera. Video/photo stuff. New 4G modem that supports X for increased speed.

+50$ because of the pro name.

Ok, let's say these are true (and that's a big IF): what I see from the drawing is that the back is probably glass (no antenna lines, two screws on the top side, and the back and front look almost identical on the drawing - hence aluminum/glass sandwich design ...) Also the home button is weird - there should be two circles for the touch id ring. Could it be a non physical home button finally?

Those three smart connectors on the back don't look particularly smart. Totally not zen. They appear like an after thought, applied with little attention to detail or love. Where has the love gone, Apple?

Aside from the fake angle, it's basically just someone's random guess and nothing else. Not sure why everyone is suddenly basing anything off of it.

I love Apple. And Im not worried about Apple. But as an investor, I'd advise people to wait to buy Apple shares. With the first decline in quarterly profits and iphone sales in years...I think things are going to be even rockier going forward, especially considering that the 2016 iphone 7 won't be following Apple's typical radical redesign cycle...which may hurt sales even more IMHO. Sure the dual camera will attract many new buyers, but the lack of a headphone jack coupled with the same design as the iphone 6s may actually keep people from buying this upgrade. Im all for getting rid of the headphone jack, especially if it's to help make the iPhone completely waterproof...but it may scare others from buying. I think all these factors will keep Apple stock on the downward spiral until the end of the year into next.

2017 is when things should start turning around for apple. The 10th anniversary iphone will be a radical redesign the likes of which we've never seen. Liquid metal. Curved OLED screen and wireless charging. IN the words of Donald Trump, it's gonna be HUuuuge!

So I'd wait to buy Apple stock for awhile. Next year is when things turn around for Apple & investors.

What happened to all the "years of great products" in the pipeline that was talked about right before and after Jobs passed away? Tim Cook is taking the company in a bad direction. Samsung will kill it this year.

When he passed (2011), the oft-quoted number of years already planned out was 3 (three). Then, as we approached 2015, the 3 had evolved into 4. So whether you believe 3 or 4 years of plans were already mapped out, it will soon be a full 5 years since he passed. I'm guessing even 3 was puff so I have nill confidence 5+ years of plans were already mapped out and approved by him. IMO, Apple was already off plan- if there was a plan- with the launch of the watch. I doubt that would have made it out of the door "as is" had Jobs not passed.

Have you guys ever stop to think that maybe something that was supposed to blow you away on iPhone 7 wasn't ready yet and so not releasing a phone at all would hurt more than releasing a thinner, better battery life, slightly upgrade phone? Apple is the largest company in the world, they know what they're doing, and this phone will NOT be a flop.

They need to drop this Number and Number + S naming. It needs to go like the Macbooks

Simple be called iPhone and give it a year, so the iPhone 6s would have been a 2015 iPhone and just like the Macbooks you pick the screen size. 2013 Macbook Air , 2016 iPhone . Same for the iPads. They have hit that point where changes and improvements are generally not going to be massive.

Those aren't screws, but sensors for true tone display.

"THE LIKES WE HAVE NEVER SEEN", that's some wishful thinking...I'm sure everything Apple is bringing in 2017 will have been seen especially since they are just gaining an amoled QuadHD screen.....and a buttonless home button......

It's really surprising to see the last few years of design "upgrades" out of Apple which are almost identical to its own previous versions.

iPad Air/Pro
iPad Mini 4
iPhone 6/6S
iPhone 5S/SE
MacBook Air
MacBook Pro
iMac

And the two "Fresh" designs we got were the MacBook and Watch. Two good looking products that are surprisingly overpriced and underpowered.

As someone who enjoyed the circus surrounding Apples next product, then it is a bit disappointing to see the answer to "What's Apple going to do next!" seems to be "Same as last year but in pink".

I believe that any upgrades will be minimal. I believe with the purchase of beats, the introduction of colors for devices, the emphasis on apple watch bands, and the hiring of the person from the fashion industry they have told us loud and clear that they are now a fashion oriented. Tim is "margins" guy. I believe that Ives is hardly leading the design anymore.

Face it we (that read the rumors and speculate on what upgrades are coming) are no longer their market. They can get more margins by charging more to teens that want to match their tech to what they are wearing.
