I carry my iPhone caseless, so it's not to much of an issue when in the front pocket. Unless your the type of guy who wears skinny jeans. Haha. It's really a matter of adjustment over time.

But I too would appreciate a bezeless design. I think it's coming in September 2017.

No skinny jeans for me. :D But I do need a rugged case, Lifeproof Fre, Otterbox Defender, etc. And the Plus models get huge in those cases, so no bezels would be a big help.

If these numbers are correct, Timmy owes a lot of taxes! Should have kept your mouth shut.

I went from iPhone 6 Plus to iPhone 7. I would never go back to such a huge phone.

I tried the regular 7 a few days ago, I couldn't do it. Resolution , battery life , and camera are the reasons why I went back. The size isn't that bad for me either. The beauty of options though. I'm glad there's two options, everyone has a choice.

But would it be as popular if you made a 4.7" phone with the same features? I know I'm not the only one with gripes about how Apple doesn't provide the same features in its smaller handsets. One thing I respect about google is both sized Pixel phones have the same core features and cameras.

Pretty obvious why the 7 plus is would be more popular than the 6s plus it actually had a useful new feature with the dual camera and cool new all black colours.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist

Let's get real here....the plus model is the only iPhone that offers HD quality. The regular models don't even offer this. Most other phones by other manufacturers are far beyond HD on large screen phones (some even 4k now) and had HD as a minimum on smaller ones. That's how far behind Apple is on this issue.

I really don't like the plus. It's a pain to design for, so most apps are just blown up versions of the 4.7" layout. Sure, 4" was cramped if you're gonna read articles on it all day, but for typical use, there's no doubt that it's the ideal size. I'm a big guy, but even I can't reach navigation buttons on the 4.7" with one hand.

Love my 7 plus gold 128GB but very excited to see what Apple has in store for the I phone 8.

I ordered my black 7+ from Apple online store on December 29th and received it next day, less than 24 hours. Couldn't believe it.
Kudos to Apple for the supply chain logistic optimization. They could easily beat Amazon if they want to become an internet retailer.

If Steve was here who knows if we would even have a big iphone.
You make it sound like that's bad thing? Remember..people want a bigger screen! Not a bigger phone!

Or your probably one of those guys who chooses the bulky Xbox original controller over Xbox 360 controller?

I'm sure there are plenty of people who like the phablet sizes. The sales seem to bear that out. However my iPhone 6 is my last iPhone until they update the 4" iPhone. Last year's SE is nice but I won't pay full price for last year's tech. I think people underestimate the appeal and need for the 4" phone.

Sure, they're rarer nowadays as companies are searching for a higher average selling price. But I think, and sales of the SE bear this out, that there is plenty of market for the smaller form factor. Just don't make it crippled in functionality.

I tend to agree, I have many folks at my company that prefer the smaller size SE compared to the other iPhones. As for me, I like the feel of the SE but I prefer a bigger size for my eyes and makes web searches more bearable.

I wish Apple could or would make the 4.7" and 5.5" iPhones with the same features and just let the customer decide REALLY which one would outsell the other. Why does the bigger screen model have to have more features? Let it be the same and let the customer then decide on their preferred size. no brainer!

Unprotected, hm!
Is that an iPhone 7 plus in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

I would have bought one had it been in stock

I was about to give up myself when I was paying my bill at a T-Mobile kiosk and they surprisingly had a 256GB jet black 7+. I'd spent months calling around my city and other cities hours away from me. It's crazy how things work out sometimes.

There are many factors at play here.

Many people who got the iPhone 6 are only just now able to upgrade (due to contracts or 24-month installment plans) and many of them probably didn't want to make a huge jump to the huge phone right away and end up hating it. Then they got used to it, tried the larger phone more, wanted that, and got that when they could upgrade. That sucks how it went for me. I wanted to make conservative decisions now so I would be able to make better decisions later. Pretty much determine for sure if the big phone is too big, if what I have is just right.

Also, the note 7 debacle. That's the phablet crowd. Many of those people got turned away to the other hot phablet at the time, the iPhone 7 Plus.

There's also battery life. That's my main reason for getting the plus.

Propaganda to cover up what a questionable job he has been doing. There have only been two plus models.

Also, "the iPhone 7 is the most *magical* plus we've created".

Might the latest quarter "record sales" have something to do with the Samsung Battery debacle? Not being a downer, just haven't seen this pointed out anywhere.

Weren't there only about 3 million Galaxy Note 7's out in the world when the recall happened?

So even if every single Galaxy Note 7 was replaced with an iPhone (it wasn't)... the most it could have been was 3 million out of Apple's 78 million iPhone last quarter.

Sure... Samsung's battery situation might have sold some iPhones... but it wasn't the primary reason for Apple's "record breaking sales"

So when the heck are they going to put the same features and specs in the smaller phone to compare apple to apple (pun intended), instead of apple to oranges?
