Just because you can't get past the tick-tock of aesthe- you know what, never mind. There's nothing that's going to undo the level of ignorance to hardware engineering this post displays.
Do you honestly think that Apple is an honest company? Do you think that the iPhone 7 will have 4GB of RAM? Do you think that Apple will provide the fastest processor in iPhone 7? What a joke. Of course not. Non s models are focused on design. The S models are for "speed". You can't be that blind. Engineers don't have to stress too much on the regular releases compared to S models.

And what others have said wireless charging is inconvenient. You have to leave it there still while with a cable it can be moved around. Ignorance is bliss my friend.

I'm uninterested in wireless charging. If anything it's more inconvenient imo. At least with a cord I can use it while taking charging.

The obsession with thin is very annoying for me. The camera just looks stupid and unfinished not like apple at all.

More battery, clean look like the 4 (even the 5 looked better than the 6), waterproofing/resistance is good even if it's just resistant long enough to get it out of what you dropped it into.

I would love to see a water-resistant iPhone with no visible antenna bands. The camera lens doesn't really bother me.

Waterproofing I believe.... I recently dropped my 6s into the toilet. Completely submerged for a good 30 seconds. I thought it was gone for good as I have done his before. 1 month later the phone is going strong.... Make of that what you will.

pretty sure eventually we will see a thinner camera...I'm pretty sure that will happen.

3.5 jacks is a technology that I'm hoping would die for better interface with headphones and Aux plugs. It causes a lot of distortion and the dam headphones never last when using them.

And I guess that Apple lightning cables will be so much stronger and last longer than a headphone cable and Apple will be so generous as to provide an adapter with each phone

Bad idea to remove a standard from a phone, if Sony can waterproof their 3.5mm jack I'm sure Apple can

I actually like the look of the antenna bands. I figured they were there to kind of break up the look of a solid back. I would guess that most people put the phone in some kind of a case anyway.

I'd like to see a smaller bezel all around the the phone, so that the screen size could stay the same as the current 6 (non plus model), but have an overall smaller phone. I carry my phone in my front pants pocket, and a big phone gets in the way when you sit down.

They will never claim it's waterproof. That would open them up to too much frivolous litigation. Water resistant maybe, but not Waterproof.

I don't mind axing the headphone jack. As it stands, it's the largest port left on the device. If they're going to make future iPhones thinner, they have to contend with the diameter of the jack first. The best way to address that is to get rid of it.

As someone who works in a water park, and can be found at a pool pretty much every single day of the year I would love for the next iPhone to be water proof! That would be almost as amazing as swim workouts on Apple Watch ;)

There is a downside to water proofing though. Oh its a huge draw back alright, no not anything to do with ports. Much worse. Now at that water park I previously mentioned I'll be saying a lot more of "Unfortunately we don't allow any electronic device in or on any of the attractions here at the water park." And hearing a lot more of "But its water proof."

that's not a problem with the connector. that's user error. there is effectively zero difference between an RCA cable, a 1/4" cable, and a 3.5mm cable besides the plug. they are all just two wires (and maybe some shielding) You could be using underpowered amps, mismatched impedence headphones, or a level setting is off, or its being hooked up improperly. there is nothing in the technology of a 3.5mm cable that "causes" distortion.

I do agree with you about how long stuff with 3.5 cables lasts though, they are generally not particularly durable.

Please keep the headphone jack... or make it easy with a tiny adapter. I actually don't care much about waterproof-ness but I'm sure it will be a good trade off if they can implement the lightning-3.5mm adapter well.

I get why they want to remove the headphone jack, I really do.

However, even Apple isn't going to be able to convince people that removing things is a "step up."

I wonder what else it will have? With each major redesign, it becomes more difficult for them to distinguish it from the last one. I'm sure they have something interesting in mind, though. They know they need to, and they've had plenty of time to think about it.

Please stop with that stupid, hole-punched-screen "mockup"! It looks so stupid, I can't even comprehend how someone thought it would be a good idea.

Anyway, referencing the waterproofing.. I can see Apple getting rid of the headphone jack and altering the Lightning one to be waterproof. But what about standard headphones? Although doubtful, I can also see Tim announcing that "every iPhone 7 will come with the headphone jack adapter- absolutely free!" *cue roaring applause*

Haha, yeah... Right.

what do you mean "not the fastest"

If you've taken note on what Apple does, they tend to not bring significant speed improvements in their processors in the normal releases of iPhones. This is why they are allowed to use "90% faster" in their S series models. So basically there is no such thing as the fastest processor because Apple will always claim that the next one is the fastest. Pretty smart imo.

While they say it is the fastest, at this point its almost impossible to tell. They're slowly reaching the peak.

It's just many of users wants a thing that works without any "issues", which means "compatible and less aggressive". I don't mind to use it in a new way but some people just couldn't accepted it.

That's what I was thinking. You wouldn't be free to use the device while charging, you would need to have the device sitting on something to charge it wirelessly rather than being able to just hold it.
You'd think that, but that's not what Apple is preparing for:

Basically, devices with wireless charging will automatically be ensnared within a zone that the Apple devices set up (intelligently). Now take that one step further, the Airports will be able to blanket at least a zone (and with expresses, arguably your home) with wireless charging capability.

Great.
If it's that good, we will see it.

Catcher Technology will remain the largest chassis supplier for the upcoming line of next-generation iPhones, tentatively referred to as the "iPhone 7," according to the China-based Commercial Times (via DigiTimes). Sources noted that Catcher's non-Apple clients, representing about 40 percent of its overall sales, will keep it going until the majority of its output begins with the manufacturing of the iPhone 7 later in 2016. In total, Catcher Technology's manufacturing supply is estimated to account for 30 to 35 percent of the shipment numbers for the iPhone 7.

The report also mentioned the continuing rumor that the iPhone 7 may be a completely waterproof device, building on the recent momentum that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus had this year that showed improved water resistance. The Commercial Times also spoke of "new compound materials" that would be put in place to form a discreet housing for the iPhone 7's antenna, suggesting the possible removal of the bands from the back of the current iPhone generation.

As a non S-generation year, the iPhone 7 is expected to be a big step-up from the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, in terms of design and functionality, when it launches next year. Besides a waterproof design and now the possibility of a hidden antenna band, another rumor suggested Apple could be phasing out the 3.5mm headphone jack for an all-in-one Lightning connector port.

Haha take out the 3.5mm jack and no jony ive lecture or keynote from Phil will get me back on iphone ever again. I don't want a thinner phone until I see an evolution in battery technology and that goes to both apple and samsung, both obsessed with phone anorexia

Oh I'm not an engineer at all, I've just made a habit of following the patents that come out at PatentlyApple and you can kind of piece things together from there with a little imagination. Granted, many of these patents take a few years to actually get implemented, if at all.

What I've noticed is you'll start seeing certain fields of patents (be it OLED screens, TouchID, etc) heat up in filings the product cycle before it gets released. So the 7 could be the first LiquidMetal (metallic glass that is transparent to radio signals) device from Apple as their manufacturing patents for the material started popping up left and right at the beginning of the year.
