I really need to see the specs. Currently upgrading to an S8+ because I feel like the iPhone has been stuck in limbo.
Enjoy touch wiz and bloat ware. And Android OS.

The iPhone has had upgrades every year, not to mention the OS. That doesn't show "limbo." It shows that you haven't really liked the upgrades.I really need to see the specs. Currently upgrading to an S8+ because I feel like the iPhone has been stuck in limbo.
To hell with that - it's just a stupid phone, with more and more commoditised technology. I'd rather get a nice bicycle.
Yea ok. Look at the price bump on the MacBook... which benchmarks worse than its predecessor.Base model won't be more than $850. No chance.
I would only be buying this as a status symbol
Smartphones are not supposed to be upgraded once a year. Only 1-2% of customers update within a year. Many update after two years, and others update when their old phone breaks down, and not a minute earlier.I understand laptops being expensive. I expect to keep mine for multiple years. But if smartphones are supposed to be upgraded once a year, these prices are too much.
Both OS have their pros and cons. I'm not a blind fan boy. I have a 6S+ and a S7. I'm informed enough to know when one company is lacking and price gouging and falling behind.Enjoy touch wiz and bloat ware. And Android OS.

Compared to what's been available elsewhere? Yea you must be right. OS wise, I'm fine with iPhones, and other iOS equivalents. I actually really enjoy the OS. In terms of hardware, nope. I can honestly say I'm not a fan when you consider the money vs specs these last few models compared to what competitors are releasing. The iPhone has had upgrades every year, not to mention the OS. Cue tumbleweed. And action...I hope it resembles a Galaxy 8 by bringing back the headphone jack...
I would only be buying this as a status symbol, considering my iPhone 6s is working just fine. Is Facebook, Twitter, Instagram going to be any better? I think not.
Every pupil can afford it on a part time job because they don't have a mortgage to pay, groceries to buy, keep the heater on on, pay for electricity (which they use to charge the device), water to bath, shower so they can go to that part time job clean and not smelling like monkey poo and not get fired from that part time job.Status symbol, lol.
I've seen people living on welfare with iPhones.
Wait a couple of months after release, get some 45€/month contract, pay 150€ upfront, congrats to your new iPhone.
Every pupil with a part-time job can afford it.
Having the latest model is still seen as a status symbol, just the same for persons carrying around a Samsung G8. For me, I have other priorities in life other than having a new matte black or jet black, like: buying food, keeping the lights on, paying for Internet, putting aside money for retirement and emergencies. The days of iPhone as status symbol are over. 2007, 2008? Yeah, those were the days. Not anymore.
1K and above is starting to get outside of the range I want to pay for a phone.
