Do people really think Apple is going to do a new design for the 7S (or whatever they call it) that moves the home button/Touch ID to the rear of the device and then and iPhone 8 which has the home button/Touch ID back to the front imbedded in the display? That makes no sense. I'm highly skeptical Apple is going to announce two brand new iPhone designs this fall.
5 more months ugh I kinda wanna but the s8 I been having an iPhone since the 4s I think I'll wait, their os is garbage
The hole in the back is for the CPU fan![]()
No,... it won'tI like this idea, gonna be easier to hold the phone
Can they please let this damn design die already?? The 5, the 5s, the SE... enough!!! How about something new or different (and no I don't mean put the Touch ID in the back)
iris scanningIf Touch ID moves to the back I expect that there will be some other way to unlock the phone...
it will in the sense it's suppose to be a much smaller device with a bigger screenNo,... it won't
And yet if Apple releases a new phone that doesn't have smaller bezels everyone will absolutely crucify them. Let's face it the tech press has decided the #1 must have with phones right now is reduced bezels. That's all that matters. If this design proves to be the final choice (which I really hope it isn't) it would only add further weight to the opinion that Apple abandoned its, "It just works" philosophy a while ago now.
Last year they made it more difficult for users with the removal of the Universal Jack (not to mention the associated drop in sound quality).
This year, yet again, they are more concerned with form over function to the extent that in order to deliver on their desire for a full-screen phone, they will not wait until the technology is ready to have the fingerprint sensor under the screen and instead inconvenience customers further by putting the sensor on the rear of the phone.
The only thing that keeps me with iPhone is the regular updates to iOS and the added security features that each one brings.
Google may have taken a small step in the right direction with Pixel in this area, but even then they only guarantee updates for two years from new, which is pathetic.
