Except it doesn't. If we start to count cables one plus or one minus is less than insignificant change.
It's not plus one or minus one. USB-C will be the one, the only cable you will need to connect anything to anything.

As long as Apple is selling 100 million ios devices no it won't.It's not plus one or minus one. USB-C will be the one, the only cable you will need to connect anything to anything.
I think My next iPhone will be a Google Pixel.
What benefit to a user does a curved screen have, what benefit does another type of connecter have when in my house we have lightening chargers in every room. Will apple update iOS to once again maximise efficiency and ease of use for customers? Until then, this iPhone is my last iPhone.
One more thing?I really don't see this happening for this years iPhone. Apple just ain't the kind to have two different iPhones at one announcement. The 7S, 7S plus an a 10th anniversary edition? Lol not happening. It's either one or the other.
I've played around with too many Android and Windows mobile phones with micro-USB to know exactly how reliable the average micro-USB cables are - not very reliable. They might all be able to charge, but many of them can't handle data transfer, especially for Samsung devices, which is the worst for requiring a certain micro-USB cable for data.It wouldn't be USB C tho ,really , more like USB C.5 or some crap, only supporting certified cables. Make no mistake Apple are experts at making us spend
The pixel is USB C ....

USB-C means I need three kinds of charging cables at home, where right now I only need two.Bring it. USB C will be a solid addition. [Now cue all the "But Android has had this forever already!" comments...]
Same here. If this ends up happening, would 2018 see an iPhone 8S and an iPhone 9?
Charging cable should be unchanged as long as possible. If lightning is only used for five years, then they should have stayed with 30 pin and directly gone to USB-C.It's been five years which is no short time in the tech industry.
USB-C? I don't see this happening. But who knows, I couldn't see them switching to lighting when they did either. With lightning, there was a clear benefit. I just don't see the benefit with USB-C.
How does USB-C solve the problem that none of my lightning cables fit? Right now, I can charge my iPhone at work if I forgot to charge it. If it had a USB-C connector, I couldn't.You do realise USB-C solves the exact issue you're citing?
I'm for reality of life.Sigh. So are you for or against USB-C? You can't seem to make your mind up.
