The way I have iTunes set up, I have "sync all music" checked under music, and then the option to only sync songs that are check marked (which I think is on the main page of settings).

Now, I did have a problem with iTunes locking up when I would plug my phone in by USB. That's not his issue, right? He is connecting the phone via USB and has all music (or whatever) selected to sync, and has pressed the sync button? (Technically I think this can be done over wifi, but perhaps the first sync needs to be by USB so that iTunes recognizes the new device.) Any iCloud backup will not contain music transferred from a computer, AFAIK.

did everything you said..still not working

The droid boys @ work are the ones losing sleep over i6 & i6+ it's too thin, too expensive, not functional, bends, old innovation...bla bla bla! :D, don't flipping give a rat a** about their opinions , Gettn a + without a backward glance:p

CORRECTION. IPhone 6 Plus is the industry joke. Apple has unleashed upon the public an embarrassingly large, BENDABLE, joke of a phone. The returns and exchanges will be in the millions. Apple's stock price will take a hit. Heads will roll in Cupertino. Great job Apple.

I've never bought a phone at launch until this year with iPhone 6. I've always waited to see reviews and what not after it's been released.

The phone becoming an industry joke. Even my 11 yr old daughter been asking me if my phone is bending and if I have no service because of update.

Here's a reality check: There are many, many companies out there who feel very, very bad at the moment because Apple sold 10 million iPhones in the first three days. Feeling especially bad is Samsung, having suffered badly from shrinking sales, revenues and profits in the last year.

There are many, many people who for whatever reason love Android phones and see Apple's success as a personal insult. And then there is the obvious fact that by reporting something bad about Apple, you will have all the Android fans applauding and get a huge audience.

So what happened here: Someone has _claimed_ that their iPhone got bent while they were carrying it quite harmlessly in their front pocket. And it gets published. And republished. And then all the world's strongmen come out and prove that they are strong enough to bend an iPhone with their bare hands. And suddenly everyone jumps on the bandwagon.

As a reality check, Apple UK, interviewed by theregister, has stated that while they have been reading about bent iPhones, they haven't received a single complaint from a customer who wanted to replace a bent iPhone. I would just suspect that maybe, just maybe, these kinds of accidents only happen to people who want to get views of their websites. And not to people who want to enjoy their new phone.

Feel free to return your iPhone to Apple. They will give you your money back. You can kick yourself later for listening to stupid rumours, and buy another iPhone 6 a few weeks later. As far as your co-workers are concerned, the obvious answer to any jokes is "Do you actually believe that nonsense? How gullible are you?".

Maybe you don't have kids and don't understand. Of course she doesn't evaluate Mobil OS systems and development programs. When the national news tells her many iPhone users can't use their phones she was concerned for me and asked about it.

11 years is old enough to learn about the realities of life. Like "just because it's in the national news doesn't mean it's true". News isn't about the truth, or about what is important, it is about what attracts viewers. Or tell her about the statistics. One phone out of 10 million was bent (and most likely by a self important blogger wanting views for his website). At that rate, having a bent iPhone is about as likely as winning the lottery. Isn't she really looking forward to you winning the lottery?

Per reports, phone bending while in FRONT pockets..that's a major issue if true. I don't carry a purse, so that's where I put my phone.

Emphasis on "if true". First, I very much suspect it was all to get news. Second, there is the other possibility that someone sat on the phone with his arse and wants Apple to pay for a new phone. What's more likely: That it bends when someone sits on it and they lie to get a new phone, or that it bends in a front pocket without any pressure?

As a stockholder, these things make me legitimately worried. I think the 6 is a great device. I preordered it, and I like it a lot. But my wife intentionally wanted to "wait and see", and between the bending, the initial bad screen shatter test, and then the 8.0.1 debacle, she's like, "Oh, I'm so glad I didn't get the phone." Public perception is key. The stock took a hit today, and it will definitely show in sales. Even if it's a 1% difference (changing the mind of 1 person out of 100 who would have bought a new 6 or 6+), 1% would mean a lot to Apple at their volumes.

They dropped $5 on Sep 3rd - thus far about 85% greater than today's "hit". Did you panic then?

On Sep 9th, they gained $3 - as much as they lost today. Did you celebrate?

It's a blip.

Yeah exactly. Well put. Thats what makes it all so sad. The main motivation is literally ruining someones parade.

The real embarrassment is the iOS 8.0.1 debacle. Curious to see how Apple addresses that today.

This is what is really shocking. And not long after they make a change to their software engineering VP. I think a questionable change. Comparing which was a worse debacle, ios 8.0.1 or the first version of Apple Maps is a joke.

Embarrassed because I trusted apple enough to go stand in line day 1 only to get a phone that seems like a beta.

All of us that got our phones at launch basically told our friends/family that we were anxious to get the best new phone on the market and we needed it now. Like it or not this is all over the news and it makes apple look horrible and for whatever reason I feel like a jerk that couldn't wait. Like a child that ran down stairs to open presents to find a huffy instead of a mongoose (dating myself a bit I know)

Last time I buy at launch.

Holy **** are you dating yourself, right in my wheelhouse!!! LAMO!!!!

BTW, I never got that Mongoose, but my 6 year old son has one now, but they apparently don't have the same cache as they once did :(

Sorry, but the reality is that the iphone 6+ is easy to bend compared to other phones. It's still early, but we'll see if bending occurs from just normal uses or its just media hype like you say. You've already formed an opinion already when the phone has only been out a week. Which makes me wonder who's really gullible here.

Speaking of jokes. Letterman had a good one last night. Said Governor Chris Christie sat on his iPhone 6 and Siri dialed 911.

I said since the keynote, the + will create problems for many buyers. That isn't Apple's fault. People are just stupid in general. A phone is a mobile device and you take it everywhere. It's needed for on the fly comms. An IPad mini or Phablet is something more for a backpack, or a woman's purse. Using it like a traditional cell phone, no. But for many it's what they wanted so Apple gave that to them. They were willing to trade portability for a larger screen. I never wanted something that big to tote around but if I was a full time student, or had an hour train ride to/from the job then it would make more sense.

I am happy with my 6 and looking forward to the next keynote that hopefully has a new mac mini and a new IPad pro.

Either way you choose these are great phones and people, the media, are always looking for a thorn to jam I to the successful company's die whether that be Apple or whatever company. Stock won't be affected long term. They will keep on steam rolling. Android zealots will just continue to be pant *******s.

This is only an "industry joke" in your mind, obviously, considering only 9 people have reported bent iPhone 6's.

Seems to me apple really messed this one up. The thin form factor going to lead to a lot of bending especially the 6+. Not well thought out. The ios8 is not stable at all and then the joke of an update they did yesterday was a disaster.

Now I get to go to work and listen to all the android boys break my chops saying I got a cheap device and now the one thing you can always say was good (iOS) is broken.

Personally only issue I've experienced personally is slow wifi from work (my home is excellent).

Any one else feeling a little embarrassed right now for running out and buying an unpolished and seems beta product?

So you have formed an opinion already when the phone has only been out a week? Pot, kettle, black? The reality is what Apple UK has said: Not a single complaint to them. Since the majority of people sort their problems out quietly instead of going on the internet, if this problem was real, then for every blogger with a problem there would be hundreds of ordinary people with the same problem who just go the Apple Store and ask for a new phone. But these people don't exist.

iPhone 6 had rough start, for sure, first it was demanded so much, then despite the fact that all smartphone or phones for that matter break and bend, it was singled out and a bad update (seems that OTA only) made this start too rougth. Especially for the bad OTA update, never should be released at all.
However, it is a industry leading smartphone by all technical and business parameters, so don't worry.

iPhone 6 had a rough start?
Apple's bank account is laughing hysterically at you...

The only joke is the one on people who think non-issues like 10 bent phones and a wonky update that was pulled immediately are anything but a tiny bump on one lane of Apple's superhighway.

The G4 Cube? Disasterous. Forgotten.

The Newton? Flop. Forgotten.

Antennagate? DOOM. Forgotten.

This is entire planet is so freaking hyper trigger happy and reactionary it's sickening.

I guess it is pretty charming if you look at it from that perspective :)

It's not just the Tech Industry....

It's every industry.

Nothing beats good humor.

If you can't see the irony and hilarity of this situation, you're taking life way too seriously.

Lighten up if you'd like to live longer...

That's like saying that a Chevy is more vulnerable to a side collision than a Buick. If you don't abuse it (get into an accident), it's fine.

If it were actually occurring during normal use, we'd know. This is a few people who likely abused the phone and a bunch of people breaking theirs for pageviews.
