Maybe the Duo 2 Ultra.
I find the Duo Half-baked. You lose to much. I want I a little bit bigger 6.5 for outside and 9.1 for inside und the same camera setup from the iPhone Pro Max is a given.

Features were light for the price. Waiting for the Duo Pro or Duo Pro Max.

I'm excited about the iPhone Duo. Considering replacing either my iPhone 17 Pro Max or the iPad Pro M4 & Apple Pencil Pro for the Duo.
Maybe the latter, even though I have to compromise some features, i.e., downgrading from Apple Pencil Pro to the USB-C Apple Pencil. Duo supporting Apple Pencil is one feature that sold me. I found that I use the iPad way less than I used to. Still heavily relying on my Mac and iPhone. No pressure sensitivity is a bummer, tho, as I've been using Apple Pencil 1 since 2016, which has this feature.
I also take and edit a lot of videos, and I absolutely love my 17 Pro Max's camera system, which is better than the Duo that lacks the telephoto lens (which means no 4x and 8x optical zoom). I could keep both the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Duo, but I have to hope that AT&T will offer the iPhone Handoff feature. At least the 17 Pro Max can still be a great camera.
Can't sell/trade in both because that would be compromising too much - pencil, camera, LiDAR sensor, etc. At least in 2026. But in the foreseeable future, I see that I can have an iPhone Duo that can function as a Pro iPhone and Pro iPad combined. Imagine I can just have one pocket device to handle many tasks on the go.

Definitely, and looking forward to it. However, not in the same way that I was that first iPhone. If there's a long delay it won't bother me a bit. I think this will be very successful, and they won't be prepared for its popularity. Everyone will be shocked, including all the ones on social media complaining.

Are there any pics showing the keyboard when closed? Really curious to see if Apple did something intelligent there or just slapped it on like Samsung and pretended everything is fine.

I'm so torn, but i'm leaning towards getting it. I'm so bummed about the lack of a telephoto lens but i REALLY wanna try a foldable and just something new in general! Definately will get Apple care for this though haha
I will say too, I was really surprised with how far out they have gone for the changes. I mean, the general design is the same from what we have known, but the under-display camera and flipped orientation of the menu buttons is crazy. It's probably gonna really bother me at first because I rest my finger on that side.
I hope the duo 2 or whatever it will be called will have a telephoto or at least faceID

Admittedly, I'm an Apple fanboy, and I'm a sucker for their marketing. I think they knocked this out of the park though. It's amazing that they got so creative with the form factor. This feels like a game changer, and I thought nothing new could be done with iPhone.
I planned my upgrade cycle around being eligible for the XX. I want to see what they do for the anniversary phone. It will be tough to choose between that and the Duo though, I anticipate. I'm always one to go for the second generation and let others adopt the first generation of a new model.

I plan, or at least hope to also get the 20th aniversery especially since i had the X. Although, I feel I can upgrade a year from now since that will probably be when its the highest value.

As someone who carries an iPhone 15 Pro and my iPad mini on my person in the hospital, I am so intrigued by this! For close to the same price as both I could have one device that could do it all. I’m just kinda nervous about how fragile it’s going to be especially because I run with my phone like 5 times a week

If the iPhone was my main or only device, I would be inclined to buy. At $2k, I would rather use my 13" Nano iPad.

If screen scratches bother you, you might want to reconsider. The nano texture screen scratches very easy.

Would rather wait for gen 2 or 3. But a convergence of needs is happening for me right now: my 13 y-o MBP needs to be replaced now but I no longer need MBP power / MBP size / MBP weight. And I need to buy a small iPad. But I want a pad I can put in my pocket and that can be my phone as well. iPhone Duo may allow me to try to satisfy all of those needs with one device.
We’ll see.

I wish it had 20-24G of RAM.
As for price… I was certain the price would be $2500 to start. $1999 is still a chunk of change, but it is not as bad as I thought.
I like it.
Question though: how will heat build up be on the side with the chip vs the side with front and back screens? Equal or one side hotter than the other?

I think they did a great job making it seamlessly transition from outer to inner screen

Is it gonna be socially unacceptable to take out an iPad mini sized device at dinner on the reg?
As a 16 pro order, I see no point in the 18 pro. So its either give the duo a shot, or stick with the 16 pro.
What do I have to lose? i can always return it.... thankfully between now and release I can watch many reviews
