He's not as reliable as Gurman but not bad either. If Apple's intention is to market this iPhone as an entry-level flagship phone, then the iPhone 16e branding does make sense.I don’t know how reliable is the source. Interesting indeed
Regardless of exact prices, the SE 4 next to the 15 will make for an odd lineup:Maybe Apple will discontinue the iPhone 15 once the new SE goes on sale.
Naming it “16E” does make a lot of sense if it indeed will get the A18 SoC and 8GB RAM.I don’t know how reliable is the source. Interesting indeed
Makes the most senseInstead, it will be $599-$699 and knock iPhone 15 down to some $499-$599.
I think this will sell well.In other words, pretty much all of iPhone 16’s internals crammed into an iPhone 14 with a single back camera.

I agree. Why “crammed”? the internal volume of the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 16 are practically identical.
Make sense for 2025 while the flagship phone in the iPhone 16 but I think it sounds much less attractive for 2027 when the flagship phone would be the iPhone 18. The nebulous SE label might still make sense if the intention is for the phone to stay around for 3 years
Yes. It is some sort of a first for Apple (they tried the C suffix once, with little fortune), but makes sense. He's not as reliable as Gurman but not bad either. If Apple's intention is to market this iPhone as an entry-level flagship phone, then the iPhone 16e branding does make sense.
It's no surprise that Tim Crook will be OK with raising prices even on budget model items, even though those are meant for lower-income people. His corporate greed is insatiable.
It would be nice to get the iPhone 15 positioned down a notch, but that would be another “prime” for Apple. To me, this sounds like “SE 4” won’t be positioned in the lineup like another SE. Instead, it will be $599-$699 and knock iPhone 15 down to some $499-$599.
It at least makes sense from a naming perspective as Apple has been moving away from the "generation" naming so I expect some sort of numbers in the name. So both iPhone SE 4 or 16E would make sense in that regard.
Depends on the company. Anything over $700 is not budget. No way. I wouldn’t ever consider it midrange.Nope
A flagship phone is like $1200 - $1400 cdn

I'd pay to get rid of FaceID.I can not imagine it would cost the same with FaceID, 8GB RAM, large fullscreen OLED display. I gueess it will be OLED, right?
In which way an iPhone 15 is obsolete today ?I don't care about AI features. The only thing preventing me from upgrading to an older iPhone model is RAM. Buying a 15 today would be like buying the 8GB Mac 6 months ago. Obsolete before it should be obsoleted.
That’s not gonna happen and you know it.I'd pay to get rid of FaceID.
I don’t think so. iPhone 14 display is cheaper (and still very good)If it is the 16E it will have a dynamic island, for sure.
The rumours about a notch didn't stack up with me.
Sales data demonstrated iPhone Mini didn’t sell.
You’re still not getting a new Mini.Incorrect. Sales data showed the iPhone 12 mini and 13 mini sold VERY well the first 6 months and 4 months of launch respectively. The sales data showed sales dropped significantly and due to this Apple stopped production entirely.
What is ALSO IMPORTANT, that the sales data did NOT show is 1
Sales were higher than the Iphone base model that launch alongside it during those 4 months of the 13 mini was WORSE! Check the forums, I've posted MANY MANY legit articles and links to this affect. Its a while back so you'll need to dig but the truth and fact is therein. I was a HUGE fan and owner of both and the latter was my VERY LAST iPhone model I owned.
Also what the sales data did NOT show is Apple has NEVER advertised EITHER model beyond being a hidden secondary page (accessed ONLY by Sales or More Info) of the regular iPhone - this includes web, print, TV commercials. ONLY the website showed it. After 7 months ONLY Tim Cook showed it in X/Twitter 1x and that was for another country for pictures taken by it.
It sold VERY well for a model never truly advertised nor anyone had faith it from the start.
Let the record PROPERLY show that as NO OTHER IPHONE never suffered that shun ever! Never.
Huh.What makes you think it would have sold? The Mini is no longer bering offered because it didn’t sell. It’s the same reason the Plus will be gone when the 17 series comes out.
Ok, ok… you should call Tim Cook directly and make him know all these big news you have discovered with the sales numbers of Mini’s. Sure that if he was aware of this, he would change his mind right away and ordering the mass production of 16 Mini by Monday.Incorrect. And that why the Samsung and Google mini iPhones continue to be such huge market leaders, capturing the entire mini cell phone marketplace away from the Apple iPhone.Huh.
Which mini are you referring to?
Where are you referring to that it never sold?
The USA it droped in sales = 12 mini in 6months the 13 mini in 4.
Globally, expecially in the UK the 13mini sold for a full year as the top 5 phones in that market. You need to be specific in region or by country before making such an overall generic statement.
Also it was NEVER advertised beyond the product page behind the regular iPhone which BOTH outpaced on a global sales record accoring to Canalyse.
There are full records of this and I've specifically challenged and posted proof of this for many many months. just dig on the threads for 12/13 mini fans and you'll see comparison links on such sites.
