Is this an iPhone thing? I've bought many android phones from Carphone Warehouse and switched networks/sim cards regularly...
Possibly. Can only ever recall seeing the disclaimer attached to SIM Free iPhone stock.
Three have never locked devices since January 2014 and the unlock them for free as posted previously.
Also mentioned: GiffGaff. They don't lock phones to the first SIM either. Think that's who I'll looking at when my Vodafone minimum term ends later on in the year.
Apple aren't offering trade in yet on the 6s.
And I'm not really prepared to take a £200 hit on the 6s so soon after paying £619 for it, especially when that means I'd have to put money towards an SE (as great a phone as it is, it's still a downgrade from the 6s and I'm not prepared to shell out money to downgrade my phone).
I had hoped I'd be able to sell it for roughly the cost of the 64gb SE. I'm surprised they've depreciated so much (I sold my 16gb 5 for £150 surely the 6s should be worth more than £400).
So looks like I'm stuck with the 6s till I next upgrade.
They are going for £430 mark on avforums.
I don't have an account there but they're going for the same on HUKD and several phone recycling places. So basically a £190 loss.
I'm not really prepared to take such a big loss. I wouldn't mind if I'd had the phone a while but I haven't so £190 loss is a bit steep for me right now.
I bought an iPhone 6 last September for £539, sold it last month for £300 to get the SE. Thats a £239 loss for me, oh well...
Yeah it was more important for me to have a comfortable phone than something I'm hating every day.
No, they unlock any phone LOCKED TO THEIR NETWORK for freeShouldn't be a problem for those on the Three network. I believe they unlock any phone for free.
There's a thread dedicated to the power button rattle. Mine rattles if I shake the phone. Don't plan on shaking it thoughGot my gold 64gb SE yesterday. Unhappy with the loose sleep/power button that rattles and also the volume down key feels loose. Might ask for an exchange but I remember having a 5s with the same problem of the loose power button, so other SE's might just be the same.
Other than that it's a nice little phone.
I did preface that statement with "those on the Three network", but I suppose it could still be misconstrued. No, they unlock any phone LOCKED TO THEIR NETWORK for free
A
Stock returned at Bullring, Birmingham if anyone is interested. Just ordered mine for pick-up today.
Yeah.Ordered through an Apple store? When I try to place an order its saying estimated delivery 15th April. Do i have to go to the Bullring's Apple store and order it fron there?
Apologies if I mis-understood youI did preface that statement with "those on the Three network", but I suppose it could still be misconstrued.
Yeah.
I went through order on website, and there is an option for "check availability". I put the postcode in, it said Available, clicked through and it said Available to Pickup.
Was ready in about 5 mins.
Does anyone know if Bluewater Apple Store has stock of the SE?
Well the phone system just goes to a national call centre who I've found haven't been very helpful or accurate in the past. It was more of a general wondering if anyone in this thread has bought one from Bluewater or might know what the stock is like.Putting aside the laziness of the request, like how hard is it to ring them/check on the Apple Store, you don't even specify which model/colour you would be after.
