Well the phone system just goes to a national call centre who I've found haven't been very helpful or accurate in the past. It was more of a general wondering if anyone in this thread has bought one from Bluewater or might know what the stock is like.
How would a forum member know the stock levels of an Apple store?

The same way the person who asked the question would know - BY LOOKING ON APPLE'S WEBSITE! Apple maintain a stock check facility. Go to the iPhone SE page, click buy, choose your colour and capacity and then underneath the Continue button is a link to check the stock in stores. Enter the Bluewater post code (DA9 9ST) and it'll tell you. FWIW 64GB Space Grey (only model worth buying IMHO ;)) is "Ships to store" so you're out of luck on that one.

Is there something I'm missing? I have gone from a 6S to a SE and noticed that I can't have live photo as lock screen background (well not withanimation anyway). Is there a setting toallow this?

Did realise the SE had Live Photos as it doesn't have 3D touch to view the live photos?

Just managed to order one to pickup at the Brighton Apple store. Seems they magically have stock again unlike everywhere else :)

As do Birmingham Bullring.
Fingers crossed for deliveries a little closer to me..!

are tesco sim free iphones locking to first network ?
In general they're already locked to Tesco Mobile, unless explicitly advertised as unlocked.
A few also include O2 (as Tesco runs on O2) but many not even that.

As it happens, Tesco is an excellent carrier, provided you're okay with O2 coverage locally..
They're particularly good value for sim-only plans.

Now in stock at Covent Garden, Regent St and Westfield.

EDIT: + Manchester Arndale.

(They're making their way north...!)

The 64GB Space Grey was showing in stock yesterday too and I submitted the order but then had an email later to say they were not available so they cancelled the order. Just spoken to CS who were going to check further and ring back.

It looks like the 64GB silver is the one model still out of stock everywhere.

Here's current Apple Store availability - as of 12:00 today.

So do we know for sure about whether they simlock to first sim?

I just spoke to Tesco Direct, and they said they have a similar open box/change of mind policy as Apple, so I am tempted to move my order to them if it means I don't have to wait till the 19th.

I bought my SE from Argos. They have all stock except space grey and my Rose Gold is arriving tomorrow. Sold my 6 for £290 of Argos vouchers.
Argos sell network: sim free

Sim-free, but locks to the network of the first SIM you put in it.*

*at least this was the case with previous iPhones from Argos.. I'm just looking to see if there's been any change to that policy...

How do you check the store availability? Is there an address or?
on Apple's website - after you select colour and size, you have the option to Pickup from store.
When you click through and enter your postcode, it indicates if the product will
A - 'Ship to store' (no different than ordering it from Apple for home delivery, except it gets delivered to a store)
or
B- available for same day pickup. In stock.

Really? I didn't know that and it doesn't say anything in the description about it. That would really suck!

Here's this morning's availability, as of 09:00.

Norwich, Reading, Belfast, Southampton and Newcastle have all taken some good stock..
