what happened to you sucks donkey arse BUT you are lucky because she is stupid enough to add u on facebook and such. Im sure the police can track her via her IP address.

work on this now before it's too late. There is a chance you still can get it back. Most people that have their phones stolen dont get this chance.

She doesn't live in Houston, but she does live in Texas. We were both at the Houston airport, but I was only there for a layover. I would post her Facebook, but she is underage and I'm not sure if posting her info could cause any problems for me.

Interesting. I hope you get your phone back and this little brat learns a lesson.

But I never saw exactly what happened at the airport. No matter what, she is in the wrong big time, but wondering, did you just leave your phone somewhere and she took it? Or did she take it out of your briefcase, what?

Ok OP is a moron. Why has he waited 3 whole weeks w/o reporting the bitch to the HPD? Something is not kosher here.

Right, cause hat what shes worried about,, tampering with evidence,,,DA

If he has established that it was actually his phone that was stolen, she won't be able to toss it away as it would be criminal tampering of evidence.

My sister and I had just gotten off of a flight from Moscow. She had my phone with her. When we woke up, the phone was no longer with her. We checked the chairs we were sleeping in, all around the chairs, asked other people in the terminal if they had seen anything, and we went airport police and asked if anything had been turned in. After this girl added me, I found the post talking about the phone she "found" in the airport.

My phone was reported stolen before this girl added me. She added me ten days ago, and I decided to try and contact her to see if she would be willing to return it. I waited, she never got back to me. I'm not sure where you got three weeks from, unless you're talking about the day she made the post. If that's the case, I would suggest improving your comprehension skills before tossing names around. :)

I would say this story is interesting. But how is he a moron because he waited 3 weeks? Is he a moron because he wanted to give her a chance to do the right thing? And I've read similar stories where goods were stolen and the police didn't do anything until the local police department had multiple claims. I guess it wasn't worth their time to do their job right the first time around.

Good god, I have to sleep sometime. Calm down -_-

Screenshots and everything.

Oh man, that makes me so mad! her friends are of the same douche. I really hope you can get the cash for the phone and a new one, the one contaminated by the tween destroyed, and her spending some time in the clink.

I have the serial and IMEI, I'm still searching for the receipt.
If you bought from Apple, they might have e-mailed you the receipt. I always take e-mail receipts from them. Check your e-mails from the day you bought it.

I hope it works out. You've given her plenty of time to get back to you and do the right thing. Now is the time to contact the police. Or at least Judge Judy or the People's Court. :) You have the original police report, proof of purchase, your sister's testimony, and screen shots of her FB posts. Use them and get restitution.

Do you know where she lives? If she is under age why not go and speak with her parents and show them all the evidence.

I wasn't able to find her house through the phone number (I'm not sure how to find the address from a mobile number), and searching for her parents in whitepages didn't turn anything up. I live pretty far away, too.

any distance is worth seeing the face of dumbass child meeting her adult victim.

By the way Josh A., why don't you have her added anymore?

He never had to add her if her privacy settings were basically nonexistent. He probably originally checked to figure out if he knew her. Interesting story, I'd like to know how this plays out. I'd make her give you $599/$699 to buy a new iPhone 4 since shenprobably ruined it.

She deleted me off her list. I guess she thought it could be undone...?

it's too bad. i had a mind in sending an angry message to her. not that it would change anything, but that people knew what she'd done and that it wasn't something to be proud of and be gloating about.

i wonder if we could put her through a guilt trip.

Well, as wrong as it is, making her email info public would serve her right. Imagine her reaction after getting dozens of emails from the MR community scolding her for stealing/not returning a lost iPhone. I'd like to think that would teach her a lesson, but it may just discourage her from adding the owner on Facebook next time (duh).

I'd think the police arriving at her doorstep would be the more mature and appropriate response. Let's hope all is righted in this very wrong situation. Good luck, OP!

Agreed. That is just nasty, and it very well sums up the majority of youth these days. I'm sure the OP would have been happy to pay a reward, but not now...

What a shameless thief!

The screenshot shows bookmarks for Brown University. Maybe she's applying to go there. Emailing a copy of the screenshot to Brown's admissions department might "help" her application.

EDIT: Also, respect to the OP for wanting to do the right thing by giving her the chance to right her wrongs without involving the police/ruining her life. Just don't get walked on, dude.
