This thread is 17 pages long and I'm sure this was answered, but, are the phones multi-carrier band (CDMA Verizon, CDMA Sprint, GSM) so you can truly jump around from carrier to carrier at will?
That is the question. I suspect we won't know until we schedule an appointment with a "Specialist".This thread is 17 pages long and I'm sure this was answered, but, are the phones multi-carrier band (CDMA Verizon, CDMA Sprint, GSM) so you can truly jump around from carrier to carrier at will?
6 months was explicitly mentioned to me.You could pay it off in 2 months, 12 months, 22 months or anytime. Just pay the balance due and it is your iPhone.

According to the thread linked, that may not be the case as AT&T will be using a different model phone. They give you an unlocked phone so yes. You can jump between carriers. Wanna try T-mobile? Try it out. Don't like them, Go some where else. I love this idea! I can bounce around carriers if they piss me off.
I looked at the Barclay card, but I thought that, like other credit cards, the 0 interest deal was only for the first time you buy something not every time you buy an Apple product. Is that not the case?
According to the thread linked, that may not be the case as AT&T will be using a different model phone.
I would appreciate an answer to this as well.
Technically, we already know that the Verizon version *will* work on AT&T. It just won't have LTE band 30 for faster LTE.According to the thread linked, that may not be the case as AT&T will be using a different model phone.
You don't lose the discount. Verizon's plan now gives you the same discount for EDGE as for BYOD. I believe Verizon extended EDGE discounts to BYOD around October 2014.Maybe I'm doing the math wrong, but it seems that Apple's plan will be more expensive even if you factor in Applecare+
I have verizon edge plan where you pay for the phones each month.. but verizon gives you a discount for each line if you do that, $25 each for us. And we’re paying about $33 for each phone, so it comes out to like $7 for the phone if you factor in the credit. If we switch to the apple plan we will lose the $25 per line credit. Pretty sure ATT Next also has a discount. I don't think Tmobile does, and not sure about Sprint. So with AT&T and Verizon, you're losing the discount since you're not getting the phone from them. Applecare+ is $99 but I'll be paying an extra $300 per year because I'm losing out on the $25 discount Verizon is giving me. So that's $200 per year per phone extra I'll be paying just so I can upgrade every year?
i believe you make the reservation for the appointment online during pre order and then you actually go into the store at the appointment you made to pay for the program/phoneSo since theres no options on the site while reserving for the upgrade program...How is apple going to collect your money for the phone if you so choose the route.
Or are they just making a reservation for you and then you come in store and pay. Do you only pay on apple's site then when you have it delivered home? I just dont want to show up at midnight and not have the upgrade option and have to pay full price or something =/
yes, the program starts you with new iPhone. you're free to sell your old iPhone, assuming you own it in the first place (carrier subsidizing, contract, etc...)Also, you dont have to trade in your 6 for this plan initially right, just your 6s for the 7 if you so choose. For now we just begin with monthly payments and we can sell our 6 privately?
According to the thread linked, that may not be the case as AT&T will be using a different model phone.
When I go on the Apple site, it keeps pushing me to buy the phone contract free through att. How would I go about signing up for Apple upgrade program and starting from scratch?
I've pretty much decided that I'm going with the iPhone Upgrade program. That way, I can spread the cost of AppleCare+ over 24 months and trade it in after 12 months for a new iPhone. With the other methods, AppleCare+ is paid as a separate charge upfront. By spreading it out over 24 payments and upgrading after 12, I only pay for AppleCare+ for the time that I need it, a savings of around $65.
You have to make a reservation in a physical Apple Store to use Apple's program.
