iPhone will deliver on June 23rd email proof....

as stated previously...
my ip4 is in Newark. Delivery to manhattan.

fedex still says June 24th delivery date.

Not sure if it will go out for delivery today or not ... (would love it too!) I get home in about 2-3 hours, finishing a 24 hour call.

Work late on wednesday (till 10pm). Switched the nights thinking I'd be all uppity on thursday!

Yeah - I know it would be stupid, I hit refresh all day Tuesday too. Didn't know if anyone knew anything concrete though.

Actually that says "estimated" delivery.

My AT&T tracking says estimated the 23rd, I still think everyone is getting their phone the 24th and not a day sooner.

It's not uncommon for FedEx or UPS to revise shipments after the fact.
 
Surprised we aren't seeing the "hey morons they hold it until the 24th duhh they do that every year" people in here. Maybe I'm not surprised, knowing them.
 
Looks like I might be at the pub watching both the England and US games while my phone is being delivered to my house. Guess I'll do the pre-sign form and see if they actually honor it this time.

I use FedEx at least a few times per month and it always says "estimated" delivery. Other then a blizzard that delayed my package, tropical storm, etc.. The estimated date was always the day I got the package. Not saying you're wrong though.

With the Apple email we all got about the 23rd I hope we do get it tomorrow. Especially me. Not so much for the phone, but I sold my 3GS yesterday and geez I need my phone.

Even with an official email from Apple, and you still believe that? It makes more sense for AT&T/Apple to spread out the activations as to not bring down the system on the 24th.

Actually I think they will hold them, but I don't think those that think they will get them are morons. Just different opinions.

I just don't see Apple breaking their own street release date, but I could easily be wrong. I hope I am because mine says estimated the 23rd.

I sold my 3GS on June 5th. I've been carrying my iPad everywhere. :eek:
 
I just posted this on another thread but it applies here also. This is a screenshot of my progress. Is it proof of a 23rd delivery, who knows for sure but it does look good.

FYI, my order is through AT&T.

Yes. Absolutely 100 percent they would make people wait. If Apple is releasing them a day early, it's only because it suits them to do so and not due to Apple wanting to be nice guys.
 
I got same email for both my phone orders....guess I will find out if the phone is here by noon tommorow.
 
I ordered 2 on the 15th from Apple, both for delivery on the 24th. One shipped on the 19th, and will be delivered on the 23rd. The other still listed as not yet shipped. Starting to get concerned.
 
Here is a quote from the email, to clear up some confusion

Although Apple and FedEx tracking information may currently indicate a later date, you can check the FedEx website the morning of the June 23rd to track your package to your doorstep

According to Fedex it still says the 24th before 4:30, hopefully it'll change by tomorrow morning.........................

I agree that they certainly could hold them, and have in years past, but it appears this time that they're letting them go since these emails are coming direct from Apple themselves.

i could only speak for myself and say that i think this is hoax based on the fact that the headers of the email in question are inconsistent with any other email i have ever received from a trusted apple source.

i'd love to get my phone early too, but i'm dubious on the origin of that email.
