I preordered a ThanoTech K11 silver bumper in early October. The last I heard they were going to ship the silver bumpers on 11/1 and space gray bumpers on 11/8. Anyone that preordered, did you receive shipping notification yet? I have not received anything yet.

Ordered the silver one on Saturday and received an email it shipped today.

Gone for this too, certainly until I can get a Moment lens case. What colour did you go for? I've ordered a black X, so went for the black - but i'm not sure if I should have gone silver..
Looks like black is not available anymore. All I can find is the gold version.

The Rhinoshield arrived yesterday and I'm quite disappointed with it. The cutout of the silent switch isn't aligned well (more space on the top side), the buttons are very loose and flimsy and I need to press quite a bit harder on them than the naked buttons which are very soft, and the case itself is pretty bulky - definitely adds some width to the phone. The bottom does not seem straight either.

I do like the material, it feels nice.

Looking at the Humixx now - looks like it's a slimmer profile - has anyone received theirs yet and can comment on it?

I received my silver K11 bumper today. This is my first ThanoTech bumper. Great design, but a few negatives:

-Major: the volume up/down and on/off buttons are VERY stiff and hard to press. Not great tactile feedback at all!

-Minor: the opening for the mute switch is not centered. The mute switch is towards the bottom of the opening. You can sort of see this in their stock pics. I’m wondering if this is by design?

I emailed ThanoTech and will report back. Included was an anti-shock back protector, which is cool.

Thats disappointing. I have one on the way. I backed the original and it was horrible. Really was hoping this version would have been perfect. Ill let you know if mine also has the stiff volume up/down.

Pics?

The mute cutout is how they have been since the last version — so you can get your thumb in there easier. Sucks about the buttons tho, the last version had very nice tactile buttons. Ordered mine yesterday so hopefully I get it soon!

Sure. Here is a crappy pic taken with my iPad Air. iPhone X silver in the house.

Hopefully they send me a replacement one that has nice tactile buttons. I really like the design, fit and feel of this thing.

I received my K11 today and I’m having the same issue with the buttons being extremely stiff. Such an annoyance especially for the price of the case. I’ll check in with Thanotech to see what they can do and I’ll report back.

How hard can it be to do nice and clicky tactile buttons? I’m hoping ThanoTech has a solution for this.

ThanoTech got back to me:

“Thanks for that feedback. Something that may fix the buttons are to switch them around. It's really easy, you just push from the inside to get them out and push from the outside to put them back in. Let me know if that helps!

And yes, the mute switch is designed to not be centered. This helps with being able to reach it better as it is bigger. Also, the space above the mute switch is what gets your phone's cellular. Leaving this open allows for no interference.”

What do you use to push the buttons out? Your finger nail? They look tough to get out. I don’t want to try too hard and bend up the aluminum part of the bumper.

...another ThanoTech with crappy buttons here. I looked at the inside of last years version and the volume buttons were separate cut outs but this year it’s one large section.

Yeah, the volume buttons are definitely harder to push vs. on/off button due to the single large cut-out section. The on/off button is a tad better, but not acceptable. I’m afraid to try their recommendation because the buttons seem really hard to pop out.

Just received my k11 today.

Pros: looks and feels amazing. Love the shiny stainless steel boarders. Makes the phone easier to hold as it’s makes it a little wider. TPU portion feels good. There is no play in the bumper. Fit is very tight.

Cons: as the other posters have said, the buttons are a little stiff. Also I put the back protector on but decided to take it off as I couldn’t get some of the edges to adhere properly. It was ruining the look of the phone. Not sure if I’ll end up buying another protector for the back. It looks amazing without it.

I also got the silver version for my wife. I will post pics of it after I get a chance to install it.

K11 came in today, and I do not like it. Ended up putting the cheapo luvvit case I had back on.

I came from a 6s Plus and used a silver k11 on it for almost 2 years. It was by far my favorite, so I knew I would like the X version.

However, the design has changed quite a bit since then. It seems bulkier and wider now whereas the old version was much lower profile. It also seems more squared off instead of rounded like before.

The power button is tolerable, but the pressure required for the volume buttons is just unacceptable. If it wasn’t for that, I would still use it despite not liking the look and feel as much as the previous versions.
