Got my Patchwork’s bumper today. Really like it. Not sure about drop protection however it looks and feels solid. Excellent button feel and feed back. Sides seem tighter than with some of the last Rhinoshields I’ve had over the years. Pretty happy with it. Need a back protector now though I feel.

I got my patchworks bumper today too... it's not quite what i expected. I chose the silver colorway, and even though I only paid $3 it feels cheaper than I expected. The silver is literally painted on, and it feels plasticy in general.

Asked to comment on the buttons of the Thano Tech for the X, unfortunately, they are like they were for the 7, very stiff. Which I don't get because I have one for the 8 plus where the buttons aren't stiff at all.

The feel of the bumper is a downgrade also, much wider then on my 8 plus, and much more plasticky. Pretty disappointed so far.

In addition to the fact about the feel of the Rhinoshield bumper they take forever to ship any of their stuff out while simultaneously charging for shipping.

Ain’t that the truth! I’m thinking of canceling my order and getting it from Amazon once they have stock on Tuesday with Prime.

Rhino shield all the way!
Using it for the iPhone X right now and it’s just flawless.
However I did come across this which is set to release in January,

For those with the Rhinoshield, mind posting pics on the X. Would like to see the black or white if possible?

I can't make up my mind which I should go for on my silver X.

Just purchased this one. It had pretty good reviews from the other iPhones, and has a nice lip for the camera and the front of the phone.

How is this case working out for you?

Kind of disappointed that this didn’t come soon enough. I had seen the Crashguard last week being sold from a weird/different vendor (BrandsWalk) that had dodgy/fluctuating availability and delivery times so I bought it direct from RhinoShield/Evolutive Labs with a promo code from YouTube to cover most of the shipping.

Now it magically shows it being sold by Evolutive Labs/RhinoShield themselves and still showing about 1 week delivery times based on current availability. It’s a good thing I didn’t wait since buying from the RhinoShield site is also taking about a week to deliver from the order date.

In the meantime, I’m currently testing out the Apple leather case and deciding if it’s worth keeping or just use the Crashguard alone full-time.

I'm in the same situation, testing out an Apple Saddle Brown case that is...I am just a bit worried that there is not enough lip with a glass protector installed.

In a Dutch online shop I can buy the rhinoshield bumper case and they say it is in stock,is this possible? The rhinoshied website says it is ready for pre-order so how could the other shop have it in stock?

Or do they have different models for the bumper? (I only see one on their official website).

Does anybody know how thick the bumper is compared to the Apple silicone case?

Despite the RhinoShield site saying pre-order, my black Crashguard bumper shipped in two days.

I've had this case since I've received my iPhone X. Surprised by the quality and fit. The buttons are fairly flush with the case but has good tactile feedback. There is a lip on the back so the camera unit is elevated when the phone is set down but there is barely a lip on the front of the case. Not sure how well this is going to protect the phone, especially after seeing all those heart dropping drop videos that have been posted.

Also, I'm pretty sure this case is the same as the Ranvoo ones. Same cut outs and colors.

Placed an order for the ThanoTech K11 after seeing their recent drop video they posted over the weekend. Will see how that fits after it arrives before I decide what to go with.

I preordered this and received a tacking number on Nov 6th and it is yet to ship. In the meantime I saw someone with he Lifeproof slam. The slam is pretty much a bumper with a clear plastic back and it goes together really nice. Buttons on the Lifeproof were a little stiff, but thats probably going to be common with he type of rubber used to make these bumpers strong in case of a drop .

disappointed in the rhinoshield. the buttons are not firm and have some play to it. i contacted them and they stated that the buttons can be replaced to different colors...

it honestly cheapifies the entire bumper.

Is that the CrashGuard or the Mod? I’m considering the Mod because it’s slimmer than the CrashGuard. I have the K11. It’s a great design, but the buttons are very stiff and hard to press. Not great tactile feedback at all! The on/off button has gotten better, but not acceptable.

wait their response to button feel was to change to a different color?

they were saying it might have some play because the buttons are removable. but im like great i can care less if the buttons are replaceable. i just dont want a cheap feeling bumper.

im using the crashguard, not the mod

ah that’s a pretty flimsy reason. i wonder if we can add some material to the back of the button to make it less flimsy

I didn’t think the CrashGuard had removable buttons, only the Mod. I had a CrashGuard last year and now have a Mod on order.

Try taking the bumper off and pressing hard on the buttons over and over again. Like breaking them in. I did this after reading another review and it definitely has helped make them easier to press.

if thats the case then they gave me wrong information. lol

as of now i switched to the white silicone case from apple. in the end i may just install a transparent skin from bestskinsever and use it 'naked.'

I tried that. It didn’t help that much. ThanoTech recommended switching the buttons around by popping them out from the inside. I tried with a blunt tool and they ain’t popping out. Any harder, I may wreck the bumper.
