Thanks for the detailed feedback. I’m still torn CrashGuard vs. Mod. I just want a pure bumper, so would most likely choose the CrashGuard.

I emailed Mobile Outfitters yesterday morning as well and they haven’t gotten back to me yet. I received an out of office until 11/20 auto response email, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully they get back to us soon and then we can put our notes together.
The CrashGuard I had for my 7 Plus looked great and saved my phone from a NASTY fall on cement covered in gravel and sand (at a soccer park). Like I’ve said here before, it was so hard to remove that i would never buy one again. The Mod to me looks exactly like it.

Yeah I hear you, but they make it look easy in this video, LOL!

It looks like they refined the CrashGuard. The buttons look more refined. I wonder what other changes? It probably has the same slippery grip as previous versions.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a white bumper style case that comes with a clear backplate? Something like the Rhinoshield MOD except I heard the Mod's backplate is really cheap and scratches easily. Or can you suggest a seperate backprotector screen that is compatible with other bumpers?

I personally love the rhinoshield bumpers they cost about 24.99 usd and it’s provides really good drop protection. I dropped my phone loads of times with it on and my phone is still in mint condition. Plus it’s been drop tested by youtubers too. It doesnt take away the beauty of your phone yet it provides great protection.

I heard the clear backplate is prone to scratches

Personally what I did was I ordered the normal bumper and a screen protector for the back of the phone as well. Rhinoshield sells it and it protects the back of your phone from scratches as well.

Can you post pics of how it looks with the seperate screen protector that you bought?

I’m not using my clear backplate but it for sure will scratch easily. On the Mod, it fits in the back of the bumper and extends beyond the bumper. So when you place your phone down on a table, it lays on the backplate and the bumper doesn’t even touch the surface. I added a back screen protector to my X.

Which one did you use? Can you post a pic of what it looks like with a back screen protector and the eco on?

Thanks!

I’m holding out for a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale, LOL! They are located in Philly, which is close to me so I should receive my order pretty fast.
They sent me an email saying to like them on Facebook to get discounts. I don’t have a Facebook account though.

This one just arrived today:

iPhone X Case, iPhone 10 Case,HUMIXX [Extre Series] Aluminum TPU Hybrid Shockproof Bumper Case for iPhone X (Include Clear Back Screen Protector)-Silver https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0765PQPLS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_EblfAbNX2MTJ4

Nice fit albeit slippery coming from a cheap but excellent clear TPU case. I’ll give it a few days before I decide if I’ll keep it. The mute toggle is impossible to reach.

The Mod is super easy to take off. In bumper mode you remove the back rim then it just comes off.

I had the Crashguard on my 7+ and didn't think it was hard to remove...as long as you push the phone up from the back of the bumper/push the bumper down (it's slightly smaller on the back rim than the front rim, so the trick is to always have the screen facing you and push the bumper downward at a corner...comes right off.)

It seems to be the same on the X.

I just put the cheap back protector that came with the K11. I’ll post a pic later. In perfect light it looks alright, but in normal use it looks great. Not sure it’s necessay.

I admit I am not super handy with my hands and it was probably user error. But I just couldn’t get the darn thing off and had to get help.

This is the cheap back protector that came with my K11. I'll probably remove it. I carry only my phone in my front pocket and don't work in a dirty environment. Also, my 7 Plus had no scratches on the screen after a year. Now with the back being glass, it shouldn't scratch easily.
