After two weeks of searching bumper cases for my x, stumbled upon this one. This is the only case I will ever need.

Hopefully this will be available in the US.

The company is based in the US. They don’t offer the bumper for the iPhone X, yet. I’m going to email them for a status and report back.

Edit: The Fusion bumper is available:

Click none for front and back protection. Clear or jet black bumper $39.99 quite steep, but looks like a nice bumper.

Speaking of a bumper case that can be removed easily, I'm waiting delivery for this bumper. Ordered a week ago from ebay (china) so I should receive it in a week or so. I'll post pics upon receipt...

Pls go to 7:47

Link please.

Ok, thanks for the link and causing me to spend more money on cases. I ordered this and will post comments and pics as soon as I get it. I can compare to the 27 other cases I have. Just kidding. I can compare to the Mod and K11 bumpers.

Hahaha, I know what you mean. I have the K11 and not too crazy about it. I plan on ordering the clear Fusion bumper. Waiting for a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale :)

Don’t like to read that either. Still on the fence about placing my order. What color did you get? If possible I’d like to see pics of your mod and some thoughts on it when you do receive it

Yea it’s pretty slick. I’m on the fence about keeping it. I really wanted to like this case. I got the dark blue.

I like how much smaller the phone feels. That’s a nice plus compared to my temp case (Caseology Legion).

I’m gonna give it a day or so to see if I can adjust. If not.... the case search continues I guess.

EDIT: would it kill Rhinoshield to use soft touch coating on their products?? I was just thinking I loved the Evutec I had on my 6+ for that reason - it was small and had good grip which kept me from dropping it in the first place. I might end up going that route.

Is it just me or they don't have pictures of the actual bumper on the site? They are primarily marketing skins... Am I missing something? Please post a link if possible. Thanks.

Yeah they don’t show much. What sold me was the drop test video with the iPhone X. I’m willing to give them a shot.

I can’t recommend Evutec. Had their case for my iPhone 6s +. Dropped the phone from maybe 2 ft getting out the car in a parking lot and the screen cracked because the soft TPU flexed just enough when it hit the floor to make contact with the edge of the screen. And yes I had a screen protector on. :-/

Right now I’m using the evutec aer Karbon on my X. I’ve used their cases since the 6s and really like them.

There aren’t pics of the actual iPhone X bumper on their website, but there are pics on Instagram and vids on YouTube.

I’m willing to give them a shot as well. Clear bumper for the silver iPhone X :D

Mind posting Instagram pics of the clear bumper? Great idea!

I know, I’m cheap :) there is a US seller selling around $7.

The inner layer is made of their clear-coat material, but no mention of what the outer layer is made of. Just this:

“An incredibly durable, hard outer layer won’t crack or break...”
In the video where they throw it up against the stucco and then lands on the sidewalk is impressive. I can’t imagine ever doing something that severe to my phone.

Do they ever mention what material this is? Im afraid it might just be TPU which will yellow
They claim it comes with a lifetime warranty. If that’s true, I would guess you could make a claim if it yellows.

My Utomic bumper. Very thin but slippery. Unfortunately the black raised ridges on the back that keeps the camera from touching when laying it down flat is made of plastic and feels sharp. I think if it gets dropped on it's back those ridges will probably crack easily. The bumper does not seem like it would protect against any drops but I wanted a thin bumper. At the same time I wish the material wasn't so slippery feeling. It's even easier to drop now than it was before.

Good point on the warranty claim. I emailed them for measurements and asked what material the outer layer is made of. I’ll report back.

I’m holding out for a Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale.

Can you ask them if the warranty covers yellowing?

I’ve had RhinoShield on my past 2 phones and I love it. Especially the redisigned version from last year (they made it smaller). For a bumper case it offers amazing protection (personally tested)

I had a RhinoShield bumper for my 6s+, but it seemed a little bulky. Is it noticeably better?

I didn’t have any issues with their cases when I had them. But I didn’t like their iPhone 7 products.

This Fusion bumper looks interesting. I think I may give them a shot as well!

I received my black Mod case today with extra blue buttons. My impressions in no particular order:
- Looks really nice and clean on the X.
- I personally like the finish of the case. It is a matte black finish. Although not grippy at all, it seems better than a naked iPhone. I had the Apple leather case on my X since launch day and that is slippery. At least now I can hold onto the back glass to get a firmer grip.
- I planned on using the clear back, but I don't like it. When its on the case, it extends beyond the rim, so when placing on a table, I am sure it will be scratched in no time. I won't be using it. Makes the Mod too deep.
- The protection for the camera is minimal. The bumper barely extends beyond the bump. It does, but just barely. With the back plate there is more protection.
- The Mod is just slightly wider than the Apple leather case. You can see in the photos, the Mod extends just millimeters beyond the Apple leather case. The length appears to be similar. Even though the leather case is open at the bottom, it is slightly longer than the phone.
- The Mod is definitely easy to install and to remove. Taking off the case is easier than removing the leather case. This is one of the best features for me. I hate struggling to remove cases.
- It doesn't bother me, but I know it will bother some, that the buttons do jiggle a little. If you don't press them in and just move your finger around them, you can feel some movement and if you're in a quiet place, maybe hear a rattle. Its minor, but its there. But, pressing the buttons they are responsive. In my opinion, they're perfect. I like that I was able to swap them easily out.

I really like it. I also ordered the Mobile Outfitters Fusion Bumper so I will see which I like better. BTW, I emailed Mobile Outfitters this morning asking if the bumper protected the camera bump and I didn't get a response. I would have liked a prompt response, but we'll see if they do actually reply.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I’m still torn CrashGuard vs. Mod. I just want a pure bumper, so would most likely choose the CrashGuard.

I emailed Mobile Outfitters yesterday morning as well and they haven’t gotten back to me yet. I received an out of office until 11/20 auto response email, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully they get back to us soon and then we can put our notes together.
