I’ve been in constant contact with ThanoTech about the stiff buttons on the silver K11 bumper. They been getting the same feedback from others. They are getting replacements in 7-10 days and will be sending the improved ones out to the affected people. Works for me!

I have explained to thanotech twice that pushing the buttons in didn't solve my problem. I cant even take a screenshot with that case on. They stopped responding to my comments and have not offered me a replacement. Let me know what they end up doing for you. At this point I might just request a refund. Shame because this bumper seems perfect in every other way.

The Mod is more refined, but dimension wise, it’s similar to the CrashGuard. The Mod is marginally thicker depth wise to accommodate the insert and backplate.

This is the mod. It comes with a clear back if you want to use it as a case as opposed to a bumper, or you can purchase additional back plate with various designs. I don't have anything on the back as I'm using it as a bumper only.

the mod can be used as bumper style or case style. if you use it as a bumper style it comes with a rim that reinforces the bumper. its the white trim that you can see on the back of the phone. the rim piece it comes with is the same color as the bumper, but I purchased an additional one in white since I wanted to contrast against the blue bumper. it also comes with a clear back, so you would take out the rim and put the back on and use it like a traditional case. you can also purchase additional backs with various designs. hope this answers your question.

that looks really good and thin. is it really slippery? I do prefer a metal bumper since it has the advantage of rigidity, but they are usually expensive and when you drop it on a rough surface it usually leave nasty looking scuffs.

I have also preordered the dbrand grip on kickstarter from a link someone posted on here as it looks really nice and looks to provide a much better grip. but it won't be shipping til the end of Jan at the earliest.

Thanks for the information. Looking forward to getting mine!

I’ll probably use it as a bumper mainly, but want the backplate since I have a magnet mount in the car for GPS. So I guess i can use the cheapie clear back for that. If I like the case enough I may get the carbon fiber back to switch it up.

Other than the crappy buttons, the bumper is great.

I would push back. They are supposed to send me a replacement silver bumper.

how is everyone's screen protectors fitting with your bumpers?

Fine I’m using tech armor which I cannot recommend. It doesn’t even fit the screen correctly. Just ordered the icarez screen protector which has been getting rave reviews on this forum.

That's what I thought as well, maybe they used the new materials in the crashguard and made it smaller than previous generations?
Exactly, both the Mod and the Crashguard use their new material that allows the Crashguard to be thinner than the old version.

Is the bumper grippe enough to hold in your hand or is the material on the outside bumper slick?

Got my mod today, it's SO slippery I kind of cant believe it. Also it seems like the back plate doesnt firmly attach to the bumper at the center of the case. Overall not bad, definitely a protection upgrade over the caudabe lucid clear

what color did you get

I have the Humixx bumper in silver.

Adds very little bulk and I really like how it feels. Not terribly slippery but makes the X feel more squared off than rounded.

There’s a lip on the back which protects the camera but no lip on front.

The TPU kind of extends out and makes it easier to grip than the naked iPhone. Stainless steel band feels nice.

Thano huge disappointment. It feels like nothing from the previous one. No metal feel at all. Just another TPU Bumper. Makes it feel cheap and bulky.

I have the icarez on in the pics posted. can't even tell its on.
Likewise. I just put these on all 4 of our phones and they look great with all the different cases. Since they are full coverage you don't even notice that there is a screen protector. I especially like their treatment of covering the notch. Unlike many of the others there is adhesive everywhere and only one hole for the ear speaker. So these have none of the link collection problems people have reported on other kinds. Make sure you get the 2-pack pro version in the red box. I've heard the white box luxury series version single pack version doesn't fit quite as well.

Man that’s disappointing. I’ll get mine tomorrow so I guess I’ll see for myself.

Don’t like to read that either. Still on the fence about placing my order. What color did you get? If possible I’d like to see pics of your mod and some thoughts on it when you do receive it

After two weeks of searching bumper cases for my x, stumbled upon this one. This is the only case I will ever need.

Hopefully this will be available in the US.
That looks nice. I will be tempted to buy that when it's available. My main need with a bumper is I want to be able to remove it easily. I had a RhinoShield Crashguard for my 7 Plus and liked it a lot, but the first time I removed it to clean my iPhone after a fall in a dirty place I knew I would never put it back on. I don't want to feel like I will damage my phone removing a case. I get the Mod delivered tomorrow. I am really hopeful I like it. The video on their web site makes it look simple to remove. I plan on posting a picture of the Mod with the Apple leather case I have, so we can see the difference in size.

Speaking of a bumper case that can be removed easily, I'm waiting delivery for this bumper. Ordered a week ago from ebay (china) so I should receive it in a week or so. I'll post pics upon receipt...
