Is there a youtube video that to test if crackling happens, so people can test crackling without installing certain app? Or maybe someone could screen record with system audio any app which makes cracking and upload to youtube so other people can test it?

Okay guys I found a solution for my particular unit if you dont remember Im the one who posted couple of days ago about having a better replacement with an almost no crackling speaker but it was there, so what I did was pressing firmly on the speaker grid with my nail from left to right like dragging my nail on the grid and it's gone for good this time finally a flawless device, just do it at your own risk im sharing this as it helped me out, goodluck folks !

That's what I said to some posts above.

Almost 95% crackling gone thanks!

Today i tested an iPhone 8 (no plus) with some of these videos, and it sounded as terrible as my X. Even on phonecalls it was the same. Can anyone confirm this?
My 7 is maybe a little bit less loud, but it sounds really much better. I hoped that both are same, but in this case i will even not buy an 8 instead of my x. I dont know what went wrong there...

Seems that also the plus has this problem:

All the units have the same issue, the only diference is that for some people this is a important issue and for other is very small and they dont care about it

Does all X iPhones really have this problem? I see people commenting that they were in stores and they tested all the devices and they all had the same problem. I swear I can not believe it. It should be a calibration problem, even if putting the nail in the protection grid stops the problem.

Wait for 11.3...a couple pages back people were saying on the beta of the software update had fixed the problem.

I dont have the problem, and i return 3 Galaxy S7 Edge last year for minor issues. If i detect any issue in this 1000 dolars phone, trust me, i return 1 , 4 or 10 times if is needed.

So, how it's possible that people that know how to identify this issue have tested more than 20 phones including the phones of the AppStore, and all of them with the same issue? It’s imposible to me for example to find a unit with the issue fixed, I have tested absolutely all the iPhone X of 2 Apple stores, I have received 5 refurbished, see more than 10 iPhone X from friends and customers, and absolutely all the units have the issue

I test all the units that i sold in my work to detect this issue. I dont hear the speaker problem in the last 20 units that we sold last 3 weeks.

So there might be a chance that newer ones dont suffer from this issue anymore?! Hard to believe. Did you try even with maximum volume? Did you check the weeks of production? Did you ever heard one whith this issue before?
For me it is especially the comparison to my 7 which let me say that the x sounds really bad. I did not compare it to other brands or models. Just tested an 8 which was bad too.

It really is very strange. I feel that mine has slightly improved over time. It seems that the more we use the speaker, the faster the problem diminishes. I do not know. Quite weird all this. I have the impression that anyone who says that they are not having the problem is because they do not have the level of detail that we have or the keen ear we have.

I have no hope ...

That is what i thougt. There were people who said they dont hear it, even when i tried to show them the problem. I had to explain them exactly what i mean.
Maybe it wouldnt bother me too if it was never better before.

In many sounds the crackling is not perceptible even at maximum volume.

Exactly!

this issue is commented in forums around de world, here, Spain, italy, Uk... is a general issue
So why are there only 2 or 3 of you constantly posting on this thread? If it was a “real” widespread issue, don’t ya think there would be more talk about it on this forum? Seems it’s only an “issue” to the handful in this thread.

2 or 3? In this thread there are more than 20-30 saying that have this issue, and if you search in this forum, there are a lot of post with people asking the same issue. And the same is in the forums around the world, including the official Apple web support

I still think that out of 40 million units that can be brought to today, there may be a maximum of 10,000 people affected with this problem, so I do not think it is necessary to be every day commenting on the same thing as 2 months ago. We are going crazy. It is a problem or grid, or calibration, because the huawei mate 10, has front stereo speakers, as in the X, and the top, sounds lower than the bottom. I think the X speaker has put more volume, and hence that happens, with the X, with 8 and 8 Plus.

Tens of millions of iPhone Xs sold. Only a handful of people in this thread complaining.
Non issue.
i think the same. You got the X?

Can anyone who has the 11.3 beta software confirm again that the speaker clipping issue has been fixed?

Yes, please confirm. I got crackling on my new X too. Replacing it will take 2-3 weeks they said, and I might get same thing anyway.
