...with rear glass that feels [like money in the bank!]
Apple are skinning us alive, even with VAT @20% thats £899

If you plan to only use it only as a phone, it would be a giant waste of money. But the whole point of it is that it does so much more.An insane amount of money for a phone. Wouldn't dream of spending that much.
Why? If an App developer wants to use 100% of the screen then okay. If they want to leave the status bar there, then okay.It shouldn't look like that with just music open. It should be universal.
apparently it doesn't look at the post above yours .. i was thinking the same but thank god no notch while playing moviesIf I recall correctly, this is actually how it looked during the demo when they had the Music app open. Makes me wonder if they couldn't decide which way to go themselves.
That said, the real sin is that the notch covers up video in landscape mode.
The Fanboyism here is garishly disturbing. The FACE ID failed in the demo and yet everyone is applauding it.
This will not be easy to use in the car while driving at all. Nobody is even mentioning that.
here is a movie being watched.. no notch. This is from TomsGuide.comView attachment 717131

The great news is that we have an open market where you can buy whatever device you prefer. If you prefer the S8 and its notchless screen, buy one and be happy.I'm sorry, I just can't get over that notch. Not after seeing awesome concepts like this:![]()
It looks terrible, and they should be ashamed saying 'Steve would be proud'. Samsung nailed how it should be done with the S8 and I'm not happy saying that. By the way, swiping from the top to get at Control Center is incredibly unintuitive. 'Skating where the puck is gonna be' my hinderquarters.
You're not digging the junk in the iTrunk? As for the rear, i'm personally not a fan of that either, it's basically the iPhone 8 (or iPhone 7 with a shiny glass coating) with the camera switched to a vertical orientation.
One major problem though, it doesn't run iOS...The great news is that we have an open market where you can buy whatever device you prefer. If you prefer the S8 and its notchless screen, buy one and be happy.
I assume you bought a car even thought it rains? The glass back is going to be a finger and palm-print magnet. But you'll have it in a case, right?![]()
Were you in the Touch ID is a gimmick camp when that feature was first announced too?I'm still in the TouchID > FaceID camp.
Still not tempted by iPhone "Notch" @ parity with USA $999 = UK £999 with exchange rate currently at £1.00 = $1.33
price should be £752.44p NOT £999.00
A grand for a phone, you've gotta be kidding.

about privacy and face id .. now anyone can take your phone put it in front of your face and unlock your phone .. police will love this!
The last paragraph baffles me! "...starting at $999 for the 64GB version and rising to $1,149 for the 256GB version." Why on earth introduce the 256GB version if it is $150 more expensive?! I don't need 256 GB of storage, but I do need 128 GB. Apple's logic is absolutely convoluted here! Keep the 128GB if you can charge only $100 more for it. Jeez!
