I’m simply telling you everyone thinks their decision is right and they post reasons to justify it.

You seem to be confusing a difference of opinion or a discussion point, with a justification for someone's actions. I didn't get the X because it offered more negatives to me than the 8 Plus did (coming from a 7 Plus). That's not me seeking affirmation from you that the decision I made is OK with you BTW.

Much of these people here saying "I'm not sure how I feel about the size X Plus" would want one next year. ;)

Two thoughts-

1. After three years of Plus use followed by X, never going back again. X form factor fits my needs much better.

2. Anyone lazy enough to render a concept image of an "X plus" who also scales up the FFC/IR module is not only lazy but also an idiot.

3. Scaling an image of an existing item in Photoshop is NOT "designing" and claiming "copyright" is ludicrous. Odds are this was done by some 15 year old geek in his mom's basement.

Starting at only 1.499€ for 32 GB cuz we dont care about money and only about the value of the user experience!

The idea that they will continue with the notch as more than a transitional accommodation is silly.

The ugliness of the notch was added on purpose just like the design of the Airpods cuz it makes them stand out in public so i doubt it is going anywhere

Lol, the X has a larger display than the plus, but to each their own I guess.

Except it is not and there are a million threads about this on here.

We'll see, but having had the 6s Plus and 7 Plus previously, I am much happier with the physical size of the current X vs those phones. I got the previous Plus models for the larger screen and the better cameras, but still have those with the X so I am quite happy with the current X form factor. But when/if an X Plus comes out I'll give it a look as always :)

I doubt Samsung overall is happy about making more money in one division but losing it in another. That's not a very good way to come out ahead.
Where did you see me say Samsung overall? Pretty sure I said somebody. Also, not sure how you came to the conclusion that if Display is making money selling to Apple, Mobile has to be losing money. There's no logic that supports that assumption. Mobile making or losing money has nothing to do with Display's business. Both divisions can make money.

I bought the 8 Plus first and then bought the X. I sold the X after a week because the lack of horizontal orientation. I’m back with the 8 Plus and don’t regret it. But I’m definitely looking forward to next year’s Plus model.

I just hope they offer a LCD screen Plus phone w home button too. Maybe it will be the 9+ or maybe it'll be this year's 8+.

I am happy with the current size of the X, but it will definitely be tempting if they differentiate the Plus with some added features. I wish they would have the exact same feature set in both. I am not sure I want a phone bigger than the X anymore.
That's the main reason I ever bought the plus was for the camera. If the smaller form factor has the same feature set I will never go bigger again.

A copyright for something that's just an enlargement of Apple copyrighted design? Come on iDropNews don't be so serious.

i really hope that Apple will make the iphone plus UI like the ipads...we have a bigger display, A12 4 gb ram...so plz Apple let us summon the dock, and have more than 4 apps in the dock...6 apps in portrait mode, and 7 apps+handoff app on the left in landscape mode

eh, no I dont. I actually pre-ordered the iPhone X on day one. But after a family member got it before me I had chance to test it. After spending a few hours with it and seeing the family member's frantic attempts to hold his face right to get the thing to unlock and seeing movie with a notch in the scene, I called my provider and asked them to void the order and ship me an 8 Plus instead.

If you do a little research, you will surely make the experience that I am not the only one.
If you do a little research, you'll find a ton of happy iPhone X owners that love FaceID and have none of the problems you mentioned. You don't have to "hold your face right" to get it to unlock...lol.

It's so natural now, I hate the home button and TouchID on my iPad Pro 10.5.

I, for one, will not be buying any more Apple phones unless they release an X+.

While the screen area is negligibly smaller on the X the the Plus series, functionally it is a huge step backwards. The keyboard is tiny and cramped. Landscape mode is even smaller because of the squished proportions, and the additional landscape features are gone altogether. It’s a great device but it’s not a replacement for a large screen phone.

I am sure that many like it. Which wasn't my point. My point was that this is the first phone Apple has built that a lot of folks hate. Perhaps 50% love it but if 50% hate it, then Apple is going to loose a lot of income. A lot.

Anyway, lets revisit this conversation in a Year;s time. Be interesting to see what really will happen !

More like people at Apple...

Apple makes a lot more money selling the entire phone than Samsung makes selling the screen to Apple. Plus, Apple can just walk away when they no longer need Samsung.

And go back to inferior LCD displays? I guess they could, as they've done it with the Intel baseband chips.

I find the form factor of the X too small for me. When I got the Plus, I got it because of the form of the phone, not the actual screen size.
