Lol, the X has a larger display than the plus, but to each their own I guess.
.... except it doesn't have a larger display than the Plus. It has a taller, thinner display.

Soooo someone at Samsung, like I said originally.More like someone at Samsung Semi is happy.
I’m simply telling you everyone thinks their decision is right and they post reasons to justify it.

The idea that they will continue with the notch as more than a transitional accommodation is silly.

I take that psychology was never something you majored inI’m simply telling you everyone thinks their decision is right and they post reasons to justify it.
Much of these people here saying "I'm not sure how I feel about the size X Plus" would want one next year.![]()
Where did you see me say Samsung overall? Pretty sure I said somebody. Also, not sure how you came to the conclusion that if Display is making money selling to Apple, Mobile has to be losing money. There's no logic that supports that assumption. Mobile making or losing money has nothing to do with Display's business. Both divisions can make money.I doubt Samsung overall is happy about making more money in one division but losing it in another. That's not a very good way to come out ahead.
Just like the notion that protruding camera's should have lasted more than a single year...The idea that they will continue with the notch as more than a transitional accommodation is silly.
That's the main reason I ever bought the plus was for the camera. If the smaller form factor has the same feature set I will never go bigger again.I am happy with the current size of the X, but it will definitely be tempting if they differentiate the Plus with some added features. I wish they would have the exact same feature set in both. I am not sure I want a phone bigger than the X anymore.
If you do a little research, you'll find a ton of happy iPhone X owners that love FaceID and have none of the problems you mentioned. You don't have to "hold your face right" to get it to unlock...lol.eh, no I dont. I actually pre-ordered the iPhone X on day one. But after a family member got it before me I had chance to test it. After spending a few hours with it and seeing the family member's frantic attempts to hold his face right to get the thing to unlock and seeing movie with a notch in the scene, I called my provider and asked them to void the order and ship me an 8 Plus instead.
If you do a little research, you will surely make the experience that I am not the only one.

It's so natural now, I hate the home button and TouchID on my iPad Pro 10.5.
More like people at Apple...
Apple makes a lot more money selling the entire phone than Samsung makes selling the screen to Apple. Plus, Apple can just walk away when they no longer need Samsung.
I find the form factor of the X too small for me. When I got the Plus, I got it because of the form of the phone, not the actual screen size. We'll see, but having had the 6s Plus and 7 Plus previously, I am much happier with the physical size of the current X vs those phones. I got the previous Plus models for the larger screen and the better cameras, but still have those with the X so I am quite happy with the current X form factor. But when/if an X Plus comes out I'll give it a look as always![]()
