I ordered both the JETech 3 pack with the notch cutout and the Orzly 2 pack full screen protector with black outline and covers notch. I found out about the Orzly after I already ordered JETech. After getting my iPhone X yesterday, I decided to try Orzly first because it covers the entire screen.

Installation... I was in a rush to install yesterday because it is a brand new iPhone X and I wanted screen protection on right from first use, so I got specs under glass which cause bubbles. After about a dozen tries with cellphone tape, I got it to the point where there were two minor bubbles near bottom. This morning I tried again, removing it, and I decided to use large packing tape which can remove more dust specs underneath the glass. About half dozen tries and I got it nearly perfect. What I notice about this protector is you can easily lift up from edges because it has the black border and doesn't seem to cause a little crack/nick like what happens with other glass protectors.

I highly recommend the Orzly.. Mine says 2.5d black twin pack on box description. I think it has been posted here many times.

Because it covers entire screen, including notch and has black borders, once in an Apple leather case you cannot really tell it has a protector on. The only part I notice is if I feel the bottom edge because the design of the Apple leather case is open on the bottom. This doesn't bother me at all though and is not different than any other glass screen protector.

I had ordered a sp with the notch cut out. Didn’t really line up. And yes worried about scratches on the notch area.

So I ordered this. Only cut out is the speaker grill.

I have a Spigen ultra hybrid, do you think I should put a screen protector on or is the raised lip enough?

The lip is certainly enough for simple protection - laying face down on a table, maybe a drop. But obviously won’t orotect against scratches eg in a pocket. If you’re careful about having dedicated pockets for phones etc then you should be ok without.

I’m using an edge to edge glass screen protector, and I can report no problems with Face ID / front-facing camera etc.

Oleophobic coating is nice too - feels like the iPhone’s glass and repels fingerprints too!

Take note that these kinda screen protectors won’t work with some cases, but I personally like to go case-less so that doesn’t bother me.

Aligning this screen protector during installation was rather tricky too as you only have a small ear speaker cutout to aid in alignment and no home button to confirm the bottom half is aligned properly before pressing down on the protector. Once it’s on though, it looks really seamless.

There are a huge number of screen protectors for sale on Amazon, but only not that many different designs. They're probably manufactured by a handful of factories, bought, and resold at various price points in different packaging. Even some of the "name" brands are probably getting them from the same place. The way I see it, these protectors are fine for guarding against scratches, but I don't expect anything more. Even the claims about fingerprint resistance don't mean much—either way, you're going to have to wipe off the screen periodically.

I just packed up my 7 Plus to send back to Apple. It had a Tech Armor tempered glass protector on it for more than a year. The screen was in perfect condition. Some dust had accumulated on the bottom bezel, but that's it.

What screen protector is that? I got the iloome and it has dust in the proximity sensor and camera cut out windows now

I purchased the Belkin screen protector at the Apple store and they have this cool little machine that installs it perfectly on your phone with zero defects. So far i love it!

I bought a few glass screen protectors before the X arrived. These are the only ones that covered the entire viewable area perfectly with no side lift.

Baseus glass protector. It is not curved or 3D and is completely flat. Good oleophobic coating which hides finger prints/smudges very well.

Some minor lifting in the lower right hand corner with the Apple leather case.

There's a small gap all the way around and I can see dust getting under the protector. Not sure if i'll keep this.

Yes I have the same problem too, but all I do when it gets too dusty, is use one of those rocket blowers to blow them out from the top. If that’s too much trouble for you, you’ll find that the official leather cases create a tight enough seal around the display which prevents dust from getting in, and it does not lift the screen protector at all. Been using this combination for my 7 Plus and it works like a charm.

The screen protector is by bare cases. 30 bucks free shipping. Yeah, I know... it’s quite a bit to spend on a screen protector, but from my experience, the cheaper ones tend to have an uneven oleophobic coat, or the coating lasts just a couple weeks.

Best!

Thanks, I appreciate it! I went ahead and ordered an imos 3d it has full adhesive, its expensive but should do the job. I would love to get an apple leather case but the cut out at the bottom scares me too much

Which screen protectors works the best with Apple leather or silicon cases? those cases are tend to snug pretty tight around the edges

I put an anker one on. £6 for two, went on easily, as good as the £20 bell in ones I’ve had before. The notch isn’t covered (understandably) and so is vulnerable, but I haven’t seen a screen cover that will protect it.

I’m pretty sure every tempered glass screen protector is identical except for ones like the belkin. Just pay the least amount possible. They are all 0.33mm thick or more. Belkin is 0.21. I wish there was another option that was thin like belkin but cheaper
