Why do they have it? Can’t the sensors go through the glass. Only the speaker grill should b open.
I think it’s because of apples requirments.
They basically don’t want ANYTHING possibly hindering the camera.

At first I didn’t want a notch sp, but it makes sense

should i get zagg’s $40 premium glass screen protector?

How can i compare it to others? There is definitely a lot of brands on Amazon. Most of the reviews are from people who havent even got the phone yet!!

Which brand is the most reputable??

I had heard that someone says that all glass screen protectors are the same with different packages and stuff.. can anyone confirm if its worth it to purchase zagg

I only get Zagg because I have a flagship store next to my office (not the kiosks that jerk you around) and they will replace and install a new one for $5 as many times as I want to come in.

I've definitely gotten my moneys worth that way.

Can you share pictures? Is the edges curved? Pictures look similar to GD Smith and GD smith is very expensive now.

Sorry I left them at home and I’m at work.

They do not look curved at all. The top surface is flat. The back which sticks onto the glass might be curved but there’s a piece of backing plastic which I haven’t torn off.

I’ll post some pictures when I’m home tonight.

Has anyone tried the Wrapsol ones? I watched a video and the guy kept dropping his 7+ even on it's screen and held up with out a crack.

I ordered the Jetec 3-pack glass protectors for iPhone X and they shipped me iPhone 8 glass protectors by mistake. I emailed and they should resolve. Fortunately I have the Orzly coming which looked better because they cover right to the edge and also the notch... those should be in before I get my iPhone X on Friday.

Edit - jetech has incorrect labelling. They are in fact iPhone X screen protectors I received.

Pics below. It’s definitely not curved whatsoever.

Ok my phone is arriving Friday; so, I have to order something! I am going with these. It has good reviews and I saw one of the iPhone reviewers on YouTube using it.

It's affordable at $7.99 with 3 sheets in the pack, and Amazon prime eligible which means free shipping. Also it has a placement tool to help install. I am terrible at installing. I'm thinking this will one will be easy.

I have seen two popular styles. One that has a black covering to go over the notch, and one that avoids it all together. Any theories on which would be better? I don't want anything to interfere with the cameras and sensors of the notch, but at the same time, I know from experience that the black bezel can scratch from going in and out of the pocket. Just curious your thoughts. Thanks!

I prefer edge to edge, including covering the notch. It just looks cleaner imho.

Here are a couple, I am thinking of going with the Manto, as I have good experience on my wife's 7+. Need to make my decision in the next hour before the window closes to arrive on 11/3 lol!!

Manto:

Poetic (Hear good things from this brand)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075KNL1BM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1NM6DL7S92CZW&psc=1

TOZO (new brand?) looks a bit thinner than the others at .2 mm compared to .33mm for the Manto, and Poetic does not advertise the thickness

I think on the Tozo the bezel is not glass and everyone says that's an issue. Maybe it's a positive though. I don't have one to compare.

Thanks, I see what you mean, and will be passing on the TOZO.

I think Manto is the safe bet, especially since the Poetic is out of stock for now. I will check again as the inventories change constantly.

Got this Edge to Edge Screen protector.. Was worried about it not being case friendly, but it seem fits perfectly with all 2 cases I bought.

I didn't try to see if it was compatible with Apple Silicon case because I didn't want to open the package (want to return it).

I also have the casemate screen protector.. I feel it's junk, it just covers the screen and not curved at the edges.

Guess the real test comes Friday to see if it fits perfect and if it doesn't disrupt the front sensors.

Does anyone know of any good anti-glare screen protectors? Always had anti-glare ones and was hoping their would be some decent ones available for the X.

Was thinking of getting this one:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/322857497614
The day I stopped using Anti-glare was the day I realised what i'd been missing out on. It was like i'd bought a new phone, even though i'd used it for months already - that high res screen's ruined with anti-glare protectors. & these days, mobiles have brilliant screens that can be seen in daylight much easier than they used to be.

Unless you have a special need to go Anti-glare (i'm wondering what this would be?), consider going crystal clear.

But you were after a recommendation, so I can say the last time & used an Anti-glare screen (iPhone 5), I think I went with Power Support.

Please don't ruin that screen though! :D

This. I have no idea why anyone would want to use an anti glare screen protector. I had it on one of my previous iPhones thinking it would be a good idea but I was wrong. I would advise not to use anti glare screen protectors. They just take away from the quality of the screen.

Alright guys, you have convinced me to forego the antiglare aha! What would e the best recommendation than for a good screen protector? I've looked through the pages but there doesn't seem to a mutual consensus on one.

Heh. Good on ya. Crystal clear mobile usage awaits you. :D

There's probably no mutual concensus because screen protectors tend to be similar (for the most part), & people tend to stick with their own tried & tested brands.

The brand I use is BestSkinsEver, but there may be better ones out there. I like them because they're not expensive (under $15 to ship to Australia), are applied wet, which if done per instructions, prevent dust from sneaking under during application & can be adjusted easily after applied as the moisture disappears. They also come in 'case-fit' sizes which allow for a case lip (my preference). They can be fiddly for those not used to wet applications, so I'd advise you look up vids on their site on how it's done.

My advise is to not invest too much at first - test the waters with an affordable one & see if it's to your liking.

I wouldn't go too cheap though - the no-name ones off Amazon for eg. may be pushing it.

Edit...I just uploaded this in another thread....gives an idea of the case-fit type I was referring to... It's also over a year old, so you get an idea of how well it's held up (I look after it though)...
