I am looking for a screen protector that is not glass, but film. I used to find these easily in the past, but now seems that most of the protectors on Amazon are glass and those are thicker than what I used to have. I like the film ones since they are thinner and while not protecting much from drops, they are good enough for scratches. Anyone have or seen those? thanks!

I'm also looking for one of these screen protectors but I haven't found anything good so far

Looking for recommendations

I ordered a Spigen tempered glass protector for the front of my iPhone X. Worked pretty well until I went outside with sunglasses. It's a rainbow! Completely ruins the screen while wearing sunglasses.

Anyone else experienced this? Now looking for a new protector.

Thanks for this post, I had this in my cart on amazon and promptly removed it. I wear sunglasses almost daily (the sun rises in the direction I need to go to work) and this would annoy me like crazy. Any thoughts on the Anker (dba Karapax) screen protectors? On my 6/6S/7 I've had no issues so I'm thinking maybe that's the better bet.

I just started looking at the Anker. It doesn't have as high marks from Amazon reviews as I would have hoped, but it seems most of the comments are about the tool used to install it, rather than the product itself. I may give it a try.

I first had the Anker but unfortunately I botched both installs by getting dust trapped underneath, so no fault with the product.

Fitment was near on perfect with the tool and I find the oleophobic coating marginally better than the Spigen that I have on now. The Anker is a bit thicker than I would have liked (same as Spigen I believe) and I just have them on as a stop-gap until Apple get the Belkin ones in stock in my local store (2-3 weeks!?).

Good feedback. I went ahead and placed the order - I can't stand to look at my rainbow colored screen anymore.

That tool looks quite strange. They used to use two heavy duty stickers that you would hinge the protector onto the phone while aligning, then when alignment was perfect you'd peel back the adhesive side and flip the protector back onto the screen (similar to a folio style case closing) and remove the hinge stickers off the rear of the device. Not sure why they are trying to get all fancy. I'll likely align it myself anyway!

Does anyone know if removing a tempered glass screen protector (like the Belkin Invisiglass) ruins any of the coating on the iPhone X?

I’ve noticed that after taking mine off, cleaning the screen, that my fingers still “stick” a bit while swiping. Wondering if the iPhone screen isn’t as slick as a screen protector or if screen protectors are a bit more “slick”.

So i bought an anker screen protector and part of it looks like it causes a swirl effect when screen is off. Like a wave. But only notice it when phone is off. Can’t be phone or else the wave would have an air bubble. Anyone else have this happen.

took mine off. Hate the look of it.
What type did you have?

Do you notice the standard iPhone screen isn’t as “slick” and feels a bit “dry” when swiping?

Wondering if the tempered glass (once removed) messes with the stock iPhone X screen coating.

Does anyone have the Spigen glas.TR glass protector installed and can share some pics?

Does it fit the notch and ears perfectly like the Belkin invisiglass does?

How is the olephobic coating? Comparable to the Belkin?

I'm trying to see if I should get the Spigen and save some $ or go with the Belkin instead.

Typically does not

My screen now feels super smooth. Must be my fingers getting moist/dry at times lol.

As long as carefully removing tempered glass won’t cause any damage I feel better.

Got my Orzly one delivered this morning! Now I just need the phone!
Hey, how did installation go for this one?
[doublepost=1510112406][/doublepost]
I’m using an edge to edge glass screen protector, and I can report no problems with Face ID / front-facing camera etc.

Oleophobic coating is nice too - feels like the iPhone’s glass and repels fingerprints too!

Take note that these kinda screen protectors won’t work with some cases, but I personally like to go case-less so that doesn’t bother me.

Aligning this screen protector during installation was rather tricky too as you only have a small ear speaker cutout to aid in alignment and no home button to confirm the bottom half is aligned properly before pressing down on the protector. Once it’s on though, it looks really seamless.
