Currently using imos. Ordered Icarez but cancelled it since according to apple support, its not advisable to put a screen protector that covers the camera sensors and this impacts Face ID. They gave me a link as well:

Check that nothing is covering the TrueDepth camera
Make sure that the TrueDepth camera on your iPhone X isn't covered with a phone case or a screen protector. Also, check to see if there’s residue or dirt covering the TrueDepth camera.

I think i will stick with imos with camera holes in it. Will jusy clean it every now and then.

lots of people have already shown covering camera with glass screen protector has no impact. I am one of them. There is absolutely no impact.

I’m using the full cover with the black borders. It doesn’t ruin faceid but it definitely has an impact, I wasn’t experiencing any issues with my other one that had a cutout.

Face ID has been slowing down for me without any screen protector. So I wouldn't immediately blame the screen protector -- unless you take it off and it immediately improves.

Recently got this Mothca Matte finish tempered glass one b/c it does a great job at not showing fingerprints. Fingerprints have driven me crazy on all previous ones I have tried with the possible exception of Skinomi's but it wasn't a full screen tempered glass one.

This one is a matte finish make it look a little duller on the screen but still looks amazing and doesn't show anything. Wife put mine on and hers on our phones. Took her a little bit to get the corners to hold down but fits great. We did use a fitting frame from a previous protector but even then it is tough to get it perfect and not cover anything. She is a pro at installing screen protectors though. It fits great with a simple case on it as well.

Really? I guess it could be that, but it seemed to get worse immediately after installing the icarez. I'd take it off but I don't want to risk scratches. I have a cutout protector coming later in the week that I will test out. I hope its just the screen protector as its been a pretty substantial downgrade compared to touchid for me lately. I hate the way the software works when it comes to faceid. Why can't it just keep looking for your face instead of the swipe up being connected to it scanning again? Seems like an awful design decision to me.

Not having FaceID issues at all with my iCarez red box. But, I went from using the phone in the plastic it came in (faceid failed a lot) and when I switched to iCarez, absolutely no issues except it doesn't seem to recognize me 100% when wearing makeup. Not surprising, but hopefully it will fix itself.

No problem with FaceID with the iClarez 3D Full White too. Previously, I was using one with black framing around the ear sensors, which FaceID failed often.

For those who have a 2.5/3D case with a black border, do you often pick up your phone upside down by mistake only to flip it over? I currently have a Zagg with a notch which helps a bit, but awaiting for delivery for 2-pack iCarez.

Thanks.

Generally, no because 1) mentally you remember the orientation you put the phone down and 2) you can still notice the hole for the ear speaker.

I’ve seen a white bezel with camera holes style screen protector in the wild and it doesn’t look that bad.
Currently I’ve ordered an i-blason black bezel no-holes, 1 white bezel with holes and 2 gold bezel with holes (I’m gonna need them for a second iphone X).

Any particular advice for case compatibility with a Speck Presidio series?
I’m doing a “girly” iPhone X with a Presidio Grip+Glitter (in rose + golden sparkles) and I’m wondering what screen protector would fit.

I installed my icarez perfectly, but the black bar on the left very slightly covers a tinnnyyyy part of the screen. Anyone feel the same way?

they all cover the screen a bit. not sure why these companies can't get the dimensions exact.

Okay, so just to be clear, the red box iCarez is the one to get and not the white box, correct?

Thanks!

Depends on the case you are using. The Whites are slightly larger and cover more of the screen. While, the Reds are smaller, and thus, better for cases that have a lip. Personally, I am using the White which fits perfectly with the Tozo slim hard shell case without a lip.

Does anyone know the difference between the 1 pack red box vs the 2 pack? The 2 pack is the same price as the 1 pack.

I ordered a WhiteStone Dome temper glass screen for mine. It'll be here next week.
They're pricey, normally $45. They also take time to install but the have adhesive on all the parts that the screen cover and should keep air bubbles from getting in. They don't have the lifetime warranty like iCarez and others

I put one on my sons S8+ when he first got it earlier this year and it's silky smooth

amazon has them for $30 so I went ahead and got one for the X since they make it.

Here's a guy on YouTube installing one

I have the iCarez in the redbox that I haven't installed yet. I'll probably send it back as long as I don't screw up the WhiteStone install:eek:

Plan to install it before I go to bed and let the adhesive finish curing overnight and then put it in the case when I wake up.

I ordered this one as well...
I hope it will fit with my Supcase case

Good to know. Thanks!

I'm currently using a case with a small lip, so the red should work well, hopefully. I do have some thin cases without a lip that I've been nervous to use bc they don't provide much drop protection. I wonder how much drop protection the full coverage white box protectors would give when paired with an ultra-thin case. That would be an ideal combination.

Have you (or could you) post a photo of the white box screen protector with the Tozo case?

Thanks again!
