thoughts on putting a screen protector on the back of the phone? I believe rhino shield sells back screen protectors

Got my Orzly one delivered this morning! Now I just need the phone!
Is that screen curved at edges? I presume it is but the website does not say.

Why do the glass covers have the notch cut out? Does it really need that cut out for face id to work.

I don't know for sure, but I suspect so. Even placing a clear glass or film over the projectors and sensors could affect the reliability of Face ID.

Just ordered this one to go along with my SG 256GB X. I seem to have pretty good luck out of the cheap glass protectors from Amazon...

Were you specifically looking for a "privacy" screen protector that reduces off-axis visibility like this one does? I wonder how well they work compared to fully transparent ones.

If I'm using a case for iPhone X, why do I need screen protector? If I drop the phone the case prevents the screen from touching the floor, right? So why a screen protector?

For me the screen protector is more about scratches.

If there’s a rock that hits the screen, you’re out of luck. Even a grain of sand will shatter your screen.

To be fair I’ve literally shattered my screen with a case and screen protector on. The phone hit the the corner on concrete and the case flexed just enough to expose the edge of the glass on the concrete. The screen cracked underneath the screen protector. Screen protector was not harmed. Worst luck!!!

Ok what is the best screen protector that in no way changes the vision and does not interfere with touch screen?

Although Zagg is virtually available at every phone retailer, why isn't anyone using this?

I've used one from iPhone 5 and all the way up to the X when I receive it this Friday.

Upfront cost may be $40 but Zagg will replace it with no questions asked in the event that you crack or even scratch one up. I've used this warranty numerous times even with failed installs, with only paying shipping and I get a brand new glass in retail packaging each and every time.

I pay $7-8 with Amazon Prime shipping for screen glass protectors that are at least comparable to Zagg and usually come in a 2-3 pack. Even if I mess up installs or go through all the screen protectors, I can get 4-5 more packs (totally at least 8 or more screen protectors) before I hit $40. And thats if I decide to buy more. If something is wrong with the screen protectors or if I’m not satisfied, Amazon replaces them 99% of the time. Done this for years. $40 for a screen protector is not worth it IMO.

Thanks for your input. I have been buying the ones from Amazon as well for my kids' phones but the quality are not up to par. In addition to being not as smooth, the edges are not bevelled/rounded and are not oleophobic.

Although the majority here would rather go the Amazon way like you mentioned, I will stick with Zagg still.

Maybe it could also be OCD because I don't want to put something cheap for something this expensive lol.

Although the cheap cases in Amazon are very tempting, I'm still sticking with Apple, Otterbox, or other proven brands. So far, I have purchased and received the Otterbox Symmetry Clear Case, Zagg Glass, Samsung Wireless Charger.

Shopping for accessories is one of the great joys in life when purchasing the latest and greatest phone =)

Is Godosmith making their Ice Max curved full screen protectors anymore? I only see ones listed for the 7 and their website doesn’t look like it’s been updated recently. I have one on my 6S+ and love it. It’s not case friendly, but there is no black/white edge— the glass goes all the way around the curved edge of the screen and you almost can’t tell it’s there.

If Godosmith isn’t available now, is there a similar curved full-screen protector (again, without a blade/white edge)?

Thanks!
i think they are indeed making 3d tempered glass for iphone X, the listing shows up

I had one installed on the 6S Plus by the Verizon rep...even tho he did 2 installs, I still noticed dust underneath. This required him to open two packages. He said, he'd give me another to do myself, but I declined because I've had trouble with these in the past.

I eventually took it off and didn't remember where I put the receipt so I ordered some cheeps from Amazon and they were balls, haha!

Anyway, I ordered these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075TQ4R3Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I get three, so no "got one shot" stress and I'm only out $7 if they suck. They make a watch screen protector that has a lot of good reviews too. If they do workout, then I can get away from the invisible shield tax + ridiculous 1 protector per box. IMO, they're just ripping us off in a nasty way.

FYI, to avail the lifetime warranty of the zag glass, they don't require the receipt. Only thing needed is that you registered the product upon purchase, a minute or so to do.

Hi everyone. Forgive me if I've overlooked the answer in this thread or another, but I'm struggling to find what I'd really like for my forthcoming iPhone X: a nice piece of leather, suede or Alcantara cut so that it covers only the back of the iPhone and is adhered with a residue-free adhesive.

What I'm trying to accomplish is this: When I put down the iPhone X on a hard surface (e.g. desk) - backside down - I want a material that's thick enough to prevent the protruding iPhone camera from coming into contact with said surface. In the past, I've used TwelveSouth's SurfacePad, which did the trick (no...I don't want a Folio style for the iPhone X). I also once got my hands on the suede backing from an Element Case and used that on my iPhone 5. Neither are an option today.

Here are a few examples (the first of which may be what I'm looking for, but I haven't yet received a response from the manufacturer indicating if the Alcantara is thick enough):

Any other suggestions??

Thanks!

I was going to get the Belkin screen protector from Apple and have them apply it (as posted above). Once I found out that if it cracks etc. I would have to spend another 40 dollars. I found a 10% off coupon for Zagg Glass+ and ordered it, since it has a lifetime warranty.

Thanks, I didn't do that for the 6S Plus, but I won't need it anymore. I'll be sure to register if I end up with the Zagg after testing the one I received today.

This makes me want to drop bombs on best buy/amazon...that's disgusting.

I ordered the Spigen, and despite saying "Ships in 10 business days", it shipped well before then!
