Sorry but Ive had about 20 glass protectors on and off and never had 1 chip at the edges; even the $2 per piece cheapo ones from Amazon. If they're installed properly ever square millimeter touches the phone and there is no place for it to break.

But we can move on from the nuthugger jeans discussion as that is simply not normal from glass screen protectors.

That's the one I use.

The phone is protected... and the case doesn't interfere with use.

Not bad for $8.

As said it amazes me how people drop $1000 on a device and go cheese mode on protecting it. But hey, that's what Applecare is for I guess. I wouldn't know though... I've always bought the $8 cases and never bought Applecare.

I think I've saved a little bit of money over the years.
That's one way to ruin great design. Not bad for $8!

Can someone link to specific screen protectors they are buying from Spigen? I see 2 different kinds of glass ones. I am debating between the Zagg and the Spigen.

Do Spigen screen protectors distort the image quality/screen quality?

Can't speak for those but the Zagg doesn't. Looking at the display I can't tell it's on the phone.

A helluva lot cheaper than a new glass screen or back when it's dropped and cracked!

But hey, those are most definitely less than $8!!

Will Apple have the Belkin screen protectors in-store that they apply using the special device which ensures perfect installation?

They were just added to the website (at least the anti glare film was). The site stated they'd be available in stores (at least my local stores) on Nov. 1st

I had a couple of Belkin InvisiGlass on my husband's and my iPhone 6s, they were the best one I could find. Very thin and clear, and easy to apply. But the down side is, they are to small to cover the entire screen, leaving a blank bezel. They are sold only in Apple Store, Apple.com and Belkin.com. When I pick up my X in store next week, I'm gonna get one.

Wow that belkin protector looks great but $40?! i dont think i want to spend that much on a screen protector, i had one of these corning accessory 2 screen protector by tech armor on my iPhone 7 Plus last year and i dropped my iphone in the street and the screen protector literally chipped on the corner so i peeled it off as the chip was very sharp and annoying to touch, great and super thin protector otherwise but yeah i dont think im gonna fork out 40 bucks on a screen protector

I do think it's way too pricey but the tactility of the protector is also way better than other brands of screen protector. I use a Speck Candyshell on my 6S. Some day when I was riding a bike in Key West, the phone dropped out from the basket onto a concrete street, then I found the phone intact and the screen protector pristine. I think a good case really can protect the phone and screen protector well :) I would like to try the tech armor as you said it's super thin.

Is Godosmith making their Ice Max curved full screen protectors anymore? I only see ones listed for the 7 and their website doesn’t look like it’s been updated recently. I have one on my 6S+ and love it. It’s not case friendly, but there is no black/white edge— the glass goes all the way around the curved edge of the screen and you almost can’t tell it’s there.

If Godosmith isn’t available now, is there a similar curved full-screen protector (again, without a blade/white edge)?

Thanks!

No need to they're basically all the same; tempered glass. All the marketing is just gimmick it's this hardness or that. They're all tempered glass and will be nearly an equal job, from the 2 for $8 nonames on Amazon to the $50 ones.

I would bet like off brand batteries that there are only a few manufacturers in China who make these and they get rebranded, so they may be indentical

thats not fully true, the thickness of the Glass Protectors from different screen protector makers vary in thickness, this belkin one that costs 40$ is super thin at 0.2mm while many of the ones on Amazon are more like 0.3mm if not thicker and they are noticeably thicker once the protector is set up on the phone.

That being said, i'm personally going to install a Tech Armor Plastic FILM PET Screen protector, i love these. i'm not a fan of glass screen protectors due to high thick they are, i would like the Belkin one but im not going to pay 40$ for a glass screen protector. I just shelled out 1250$ for a 256gb Space Gray iPhone X and 55$ for an official Black Apple Leather Case.

thinner does not equal better when it comes to protection.

And glass protectors work totally different than plastic film, and are much better for impact(as they are rigid/thicker and absorb the force and crack instead of the screen).

When it's on the phone you cannot tell how thin or thick it is by fractions of millimeters, that is simply OCD/mental.

which glass protector did you purchase?

What’s best one for smudges?

Also why are none of them covering the notche but leaving room for speaker?

Just received the Anker Glass screen protector.

Unfortunately its the same as their 6s/7 screen protector, it has a gritty texture as if there is ridges on the glass you can see them when its got fingerprints all over it. Not a deal breaker but it means its not very smooth for swiping your finger on it

Well, in the case of the belkin, it is made of Gorilla Glass 2. Show me a 10 dollar screen protector that is made of gorilla glass and I'll buy it.

I think it's more about the hardness, and it has the same 9H hardness.
