All the Max phones are still available for in store pick up at the Apple Stores near me.

I keep checking through the app lol...

I just checked and in my country Xs Max is still saying 21/9, while series 4 depending on the models is predicting 2-3 weeks or 3-4 weeks, even for the stainless steel so quite an expensive model.

Same here for the Max, all still ready to order. And it’s 4am here been on sale for a while now.

As expected the iPhone Xs in New Zealand isn't selling out very fast at all; all three models still listed as Sep 21.

The watch has slipped to 3-4 weeks.

Ah, Apple Watch. Such a flop. :D

Upgrading from the Series 3 and really excited for the bigger screen and (weirdly) also excited for the haptic Digital Crown. Plus the extra speed is always welcome in these early days of the Apple Watch.

I’m skipping the iPhone for the first time ever this year. There’s nothing wrong with the XS, but the iPhone X was just a really solid step forward, and I don’t feel like it’s missing anything I really need.

The watch though, that still feels like the early days of the iPhone, where ever year is exciting. Plus I was one of the lucky few it seems, and managed to get a black SS for launch day.

I guess many people are waiting for the Xr so I don't expect any shortages for the Xs, I haven't decided yet but I'm eligible for an upgrade in October and I won't have any problems to get the Xs, while I may have to wait until early November for the Xr since I'm not sure how many phones are given to carriers at day one

Watch and phone both emailed as delivered on Sept. 21st here. I ordered at 12:05am PST, though. (via app)

Random question, since I’ve never preordered through Apple or the Apple Store App (I’ve always gone through my carrier store because of crashing websites and apps). When do they charge your card? I ordered an hour ago and my bank doesn’t show any charges.

Anyone remember how long it took the iPhone X date to start slipping last year? I was thinking 8 minutes in?

Ummm no, last year I pre-ordered the 256GB iPhone X within one minute of pre-orders going live and I already had to wait almost a month. It was ridiculous.

Charges when it prepares to ship.

When it ships I do believe

They put a temporary hold that falls off after a couple of days. They charge your card when your order ships.

Also, the resell market on eBay is starting to climb for the Series 4. The 44mm GPS oho nly are starting to break the $550+ mark. The picture shows LTE, but the listing says GPS.
Only a total fool would buy there. (A note to EU customers: All the nice consumer protection laws only protect the original buyer. If you buy a new watch on eBay, you have just given up all your consumer rights).

looks like the watch is selling faster than the phones!
It is hard to know for sure without knowing Apple's inventory of both the phones and watches. However, I suspect you are right. I skipped the Series 3 because adding cellular and a relatively small bump in processor speed wasn't enough to get me to upgrade last year but I think all the great new features in Series 4 (display, processor, fall detection, ECG, etc.) is going to have a LOT of people upgrading their older Apple Watches and probably other people switching from Fitbit, Garmin, etc. to Apple Watch.

I think Apple is going to dominate the smart watch market even more than they already did with the Series 4.

I messed up a bit on my SS 44mm order.
I had it all selected for delivery Sep 21 but went to checkout and I had like $6000+ in MacBook Pros in my Bag I was messing around with before LOL so I had to delete all those and by that time my shipping slipped to Monday Sep 24. Not a huge deal I guess... In some ways I prefer because I will have no end of week stress wondering if I will miss the delivery on Friday and have to wait knowing it is in town... beginning of week deliveries are sometimes better.

This is why I’m glad most people seem to be going for the Xs Max. I preordered my Xs (5.8” screen) an hour after pre-orders started and and still have a 9/21 delivery estimate. Gold 256GB. Upgrading from a SE, so it’s a big difference that I’m looking forward to.

Shipping estimates in Australia for iPhone XS Max 256 GB is now pushed to 1-2 Weeks just one hour after the pre-orders started. Shipping dates for all other variants remains the same (21September).

Honestly, i picked up my phone went into the Apple store and got a 64 gig max. Easy. First time i ever got a phone on launch day!
eh? stores already have it?!

I bought my wife’s XS(Verizon) through the Apple Store app, but the XS MAX(ATT) delivery time had slipped, so I went to ATTs app and bought through them. Last I checked they were still showing a Sept. 21 delivery date.
