I am not saying that I don’t have it happening on my end, but if it is, I certainly don’t notice any lag or stuttering. My phones have been lighting fast and have yet to experience any issues that others seem to be experiencing.

Maybe my phone it is indexing.. I installed this version 3 day ago .. it is possible to index, or ..

I made a DFU restore . I downloaded the ipsw file of 12.2 beta 6 and I flash it in to DFU. The cleanest install that you can have it’s through DFU.. or not ?

It is possible. How are you installing updates? OTA or through iTunes?

Are you using final release versions or betas?

I see a lot of stuttering on my new Xr 128gb. For example, if I wipe between homesites, open folders, open and close apps. Have led with Apple Support diagnosis, update reloaded on it and still feels the same. I could swap the iPhone at Apple, but since you do not get a new iPhone. You get a refurb. :( Idk maybe it‘s normal ? Should i exchange it .. You pay so much money and I expect everything to run smoothly without any problems.

It is necessary to specify a specific standard to characterize the concept of smooth operation of the entire interface. my task is people who do not see the problem is just because they have no comparison with the 100% correctly working prototype. Maybe they are blind? or they do not know what to look at.
[doublepost=1553179127][/doublepost]People who are used to the quality that gives them the use of IOS, they know what's going on and that's why they choose the iPhone. If this standard deteriorates, no one in their right mind can be fooled yet again.

No, not blind and do know what to look at.

That is the cleanest install you can get.

Betas are known to be buggy. I would try a final release version (latest 12.1.4) and see if it persists.

I did it but the shutters are still there.. Should i exchange at apple ?

Unfortunately, it seems to me that it can not do anything. Many people in this forum exchanged their devices thinking that the fault lies in their isolated cases. The software here is guilty.

Recently, I visited the post-warranty repairs of Apple brand devices. Show the guy how mediocre the new iPhone models are in relation to their older models. The guy who has a daily exchange of displays, etc. said that it is enough to change the software to unofficial because in his opinion each successive issue issued by Apple will be aimed at limiting than to maximize the potential of a given device. Competition has imposed such a pace that attention to detail is less important. Especially that people are happy with everything that has the apple logo and they cheat and cheer themselves thinking that it is supposed to be, I probably do something wrong.

Hope they fix this soon, nothing has happend since launch ~6months ago. Why havent they done anything about it.

It bothers me a lot. Even my 6s had few stuttering. You pay so much and just wait for it to run smoothly. Why do many then say that the XsXr is very smooth ... I do not understand. It's not smooth. I hope ios 12.2 fixes the problem.

Loyal fans will continue to buy and justify it by saying apple constantly provides updates.

Since when is truth a justification? Loyal android fans keep buying those products even though they lag after a period of time and justify it by the customizing. See, it’s easy to spin a negative generalization. /s

A german news site made an article about apple removing the support thread for this flaw.

I hope other international news sites will follow. I think apple will fix it in ios 13 but waiting a year is too much

As a former user of Android devices on board, I always knew how it works and how resourceful it is. The first thing you should do is turn off animations so that you do not get angry. This aspect of the iPhone always won, refining the system which, unlike the competition, is supposed to work perfectly. If Apple does not come back to the Premium standard, they will shoot themselves on the knee.

Should i replace it if it still shutting after ios 12.2 ? Are the replaced iPhone’s at apple refurb or new ? I want a smooth XR

Glitches of all types have been around since the iPhone 4 (my foray) and those glitches didn’t seem to affect Apple sales or revenue.

I’ll pick on iOS 7 and up though. Each version had its thing and somehow survived. To me this stuttering is not an issue and I ignore it. Other people feel differently. Apple hopefully will fix it such that their customers are satisfied.

Hopefully they do fix it ! This stuttering and jittery scrolling did not happen on my iPhone 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 and I’m pretty sure that’s why a lot of us are noticing it now. We should not have to put up with this on new devices. A smooth UI was the main reason a kept with IPhone but if this stutter is normal across all new devices, then this is a poor move from apple. I choose not to ignore it because it is a feature that I have never seen before and dam right Annoying especially when scrolling, playing videos and games.

I don’t have any stutter playing videos from prime or Netflix. Don’t play games on my phone. Whether it’s my settings or not I don’t know, but no stutter during video.
