The reason why I can’t ignore this reminds of the time I got a brand new mega 4K OLED tv. Worth every penny but noticed a broken pixel. Now, for most people, they would not bother to complain and can
Okay it’s one speculation. The other speculation is the apple thread was so off topic it got canned.

As far as the number of people claiming they had an issue, only the motivated with an issue tend to post. Those who are content with their device, issue or not, why post “I’m happy?” It this affected 100% of individuals it’s my contention there would be a media fire storm. Therefore I’m assuming (correctly or not) this is a minority problem.

You are correct in saying you assume it’s a minority problem but it sure is escalating into a bigger one. The apple forum was never off topic but the speculation is it was removed to stop a firestorm as more and more people Acknowledged the problem preventing it to become a major problem. Would have been in the thousands by now as every week more and more people were joining. Anyways, it does not have to be a minor problem to be ignored does it? No mater how many times you replace your device and report it to managers who agree it’s a problem, we still are in the dark for a fix as we are being ignored by apple. If apple get back to us and say this is normal behaviour then we can all make an informed decision as to wether we keep our devices or downgrade to devices that do not exhibit the problems. All I keep getting from the apple shop is we know it’s a Problem and confirm the issue and this should be fixed in the next update.

Not sure about a warranty claim on one dead or broken pixel...

It’s all speculation. The number affected, why the thread was taken down. Thousands sound like a big number, but not compared to the tens of millions phones sold.

An issue is an issue and should get fixed. I’m sure this issue is on some list with a priority assigned to it. If you feel Apple is ignoring you don’t feel that way. This issue is on some list with a priority and will get fixed when Apple fixes it.

Is this normal behavior? Do you believe Apple will ever say that? They won’t acknowledge this either. They will just fix it.

iOS 12.3 beta 1 released. Any news from new firmware? Maybe fixed?

And unfortunately I was happy as a small child and everything indicated that the upgrade to the level of 12.2 improved the situation. Immediately after leaving the house to work with the Wi-Fi network, I switched to LTE and again the same. It's not about the Internet or functions that use link efficiency. The main screen and scrolling between pages, again the same, I'm furious ...
[doublepost=1553714025][/doublepost]For a moment I thought it was much better and suddenly the same, I did not move anything in the settings, suddenly the phone slowed by 50% and all animations. I thought maybe it was the temperature, the house was 20 degrees 2 outside. Now I came back home and again I use Wi Fi, unfortunately the problem remained, as if the processor clocks did not want to return to high efficiency.

I suspect it's a hardware issue at this point. Pray that it isn't. I'm curious to see how the 2019 models will behave in that regard.

i think it’s a hardware problem bcs many people haven’t this issue. I will soon make an appointment at Apple and replace it.

What I say may seem funny, but it is true. After work, I go to the Apple service point and show the problem of performance drop that appeared immediately after the upgrade to 12.2 and specifically after switching automatically from WI FI to LTE. They took my phone and without a second thought changed the Wallpaper to live. The phone started to work very quickly and responsively. Previously, I had all black. This is ridiculous . They did it because for the 5th time I wanted to replace the device with new ones. Unfortunately, the stuttering problem still remained.

At the end I will add that it shows the stuttering problem all the time. They make me crazy and they do not see that this is the specificity of the Oled panel. I do not care about it and smudging just about micro cropping when scrolling pages and there is silence. I take the iPhone 8 and it shows that it's ok. And I see a stupid smile. I go out and I think that if so, if I am not satisfied with the arrival of IOS 13, I will sell this garbage and take S10 + how long should we wait?
[doublepost=1553797765][/doublepost]Shows reports on the video forum, etc. Looking straight into my eyes I hear "Please, do not read this nonsense"

I think June is a good time to evaluate your options. Of course your particular issue may be resolved by a further update of iOS 12. But good luck if you get an s10+. I hope it treats you better than your iPhone.

What phone did you have ? Xs or Xs max ?

It seems to me that at this point they have enough of me. I press on them so much that at the same sight they take on water in the mouth. I just think to try it at the German customer service point. maybe they are in possession of a lot of devices free from defects. A few years ago, due to the fact that I was from the Polish city of Szczecin, it was necessary to go to Berlin to enjoy Apple products

I agree that it isn't funny, but I find this really interesting. Any theories as to why it worked? Maybe live wallpaper forces the phone into using a slightly superior performance mode, perhaps activating another processor core or something? But...it's just wallpaper, basically looping a few frames of photos. Shouldn't require any heavy lifting by the processor at all. I'm struggling to come up with a viable explanation.

Live wallpaper isn't a solution I'd ever think of considering to resolve a problem like that. Wouldn't even occur to me. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that.

I agree in 100% . Between time I prefer to leave Live wallpaper. I made a sample and changed it to the whole black phone after 10 minutes and the animation slowed. These are the realities, when you turn on Live it is just like when you turn on screen recording.
[doublepost=1553803342][/doublepost]I have one question, why is this happening?

I restored my iPhone XS via iTunes (iOS 12.2) yesterday and set it as a new one. Suprisingly, stuttering and lags had all gone and I swear that everything had been working as smooth as hell for some hours, but then... The whole experience became much worse, the interface animation is unbearably laggy. My only one wish now is to get rid of it, just throw it into the trash... My iPhone 5s (!) works two times smoother than this piece of sh*t.

It's almost as if live wallpapers use CPU... Weird.

Mmmm .. exactly same thing happened to me today .. Now it’s laggy as hell , I see lots of frame drops , stuttering .. I don’t understand what is happening..

Unfortunately, as Justin said. Using the features and applications running in the background does not fully solve the problem. The battery falls down at the speed of light. The massacre. They have to realize in what direction are the expectations of people using Apple products. The stuttering problem of perceiving premium quality in the Apple edition is ruined for me. I fight with myself. I want to sell everything or not.

I’ve had zero issues with my max. The only issue I have had with the current OS is that my IPads battery ran down quickly. A system reset cleared up the problem. Maybe you have a rogue app that’s hogging the system.

Explain rouge app please?. Do we have to delete apps until our phones are smooth without stuttering and jitters when using the UI ?
I’ve already disabled the majority of settings on this phone so I am not too warmed up to the feeling of finding an app that’s affecting the stuttering. Besides I am on a third replacement and still no resolve. Will wait until the so called revolutionary IOS 13 and see but after that, I am afraid this will seriously hinder my loyalty to any further apple products. The A12 chip is in my view the cause of this problem were we as a customer have to compromise smooth UI over battery performance. As a result we have stuttering android like phones. Funny that Apples chief engineer forbthe apple phone chips including the A12 has just left apple. Anyways I am shocked that this jitter/stutter is the norm in new phones and people are accepting it. Only motivated, highly acute personnel with high attention to detail will not tolerate this stuttering mess.

Also since updating to 12.3 my IPad now also stutters (IPad Air 2) was brilliant before. Really doubting to upgrade as I am also seeing all models with the A12 chip in the shops with the stuttering messy UI. Could not play games on the XS nor video without frame rate drops. My good old IPad Air 2 was perfect for this with no issues but after the last update it is almost as if everything has gone corrupt.
