iPhone XS iPhone XS - momentary stuttering after inactivity

Yeah. It seems like the new iPads and iPads pro suffer from the same problem , I’ve seen a lot of complainants from people witch the have iPhone X , and iPhone 8 .. my iPhone 7 is superior to my Xs max this is inadmissible ... it seems like It’s a A12 problem... I’m searching every day for a workaround but nothing .. I disabled all of my functions , even 3D Touch and nothing .. I’m literally pissed off...

Have restored my Xr and now everything is crazy. Everywhere shutters .. Apps freezing .. Display reacts very slowly! I'll exchange it next week. You pay so much money and it should run like butter...

That doesn’t make sense. You restored your xr and now it’s worse(which points to software)? Did you try a dfu restore setting the phone up as new and see if there is the same issue?

Have it set up as a new iphone ... ios 12.2. Have my Xr restored 3 times but this time it has become even worse...

That would seem to point to software. My s/o xr is buttery smooth (which we just acquired). Maybe apple will replace your phone if you bring the phone in for a diagnosis.

Once again, the perfect example (a bit after 02:48):

Kudos to MacRumors for posting an article about the stuttering iPads. It would be great if they can do the same for the iPhones.

IMO, the choppy video playback is much worse than the UI stutter, but the root cause of both issues is most likely identical. Garbage.

Edit:

Just found this at Apple Support Communities (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250261272):

Yikes. Now that's brutal.

Choppy video playback is much worse than the anecdotal micro-stutter for the animations (imo), and I would be very annoyed if my phone exhibited that in video playback. As far as the opening and closing animations, I guess it affects some more than others. It would be much worse, for me, it if were present for example in scrolling in Safari, which would be very noticeable.

There you go. ;)

Edit: If that was not clear, I am not asking anyone to post a video.

I'm not sure if that was a joke or if my point actually eluded you, but: please read the rest of that comment.

Again, I would be happy to post a video (even if you don't want to see it). I'd just prefer to produce one that's, you know, actually potentially meaningful - rather than a few meaningless seconds of stutter-free performance. Which wouldn't prove anything to anyone.

The choppy video playback was my # 1 issue. # 2 was the UI stutter. Then it was the constant WiFi/LTE dropouts. Where do I begin?

Anyway, I think the chances of this being a software issue are slim to none. It's too obvious to see. I don't understand why Apple wouldn't address this for more than 6 months, if the culprit lied in the software itself.

For all who are waiting patiently for an act of grace from Apple I will add that when I look at how fast p30 pro and s10 + works, it strikes with thoughts. What I did, why I bought Iphone. Everything like flying is far behind. Only the system, its perfection in operation and no signs of weakness can make me stay. Unfortunately, there is no sign of a breakthrough, some update from Apple in a direction that would please us.

It's possible the engineering specifications for the xs were updated, as is typically done with many manufacturing concerns. If apple updated the baseline hardware, that could explain why my particular max (as well as others )doesn't experience stutter (video or scrolling) or issues with signal. It could also be my combination of settings.

The s10 is not without it's share of problems either. The grass isn't always greener.

As you man, you can know if your device is free of defects, if you turn off all animations and all functions of the phone. You use in a limited range and tell yourself and others that you are happy. Apple falls pale against the competition and will either fix it or end up like Nokia with its symbian.
[doublepost=1554613767][/doublepost]As you said before, you do not like all these candy effects and turn everything off. You are not a demanding user and you are giving up for 100. In fact, it would be enough for you to have a calculator with the option of calling and you would be happy, Stop making others happy here because you are not reliable for us anyway.

I'm not clear on why you would rather come back with a this rebuttal rather than try the suggestions (since changing the settings basically costs little in terms of time and no money), and tell us all the outcome.

You really value us so much if you think that we do not try everything to achieve a high level of liquidity. Usually, it goes on for a moment after, without any interference, there are visible declines. The effect that interests us is the operation of the device as with the screen recording turned on all the time until the battery falls. If you are in the writing of a golden mean, share it with us. Show pictures from all settings, record the video as soon as you wake up running the animation on your phone. Like games, scrolling pages in safari and youtube. Each of us has spent so much money on devices and accessories for them that they try everything before losing sales and return to Android. Apple's cheating is about playing on time. They do everything, including the replacement of new devices because they ultimately focus on the implementation of the new series. The software is far behind the hardware so that the new one does not mean better.

Don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but I found this thread a few minutes ago:

Here's a screenshot of the last post, from today, April 7th:

If that's true, then there might be a light at the end of the tunnel.

I always knew that it was a software fault, the question is just how serious it is that since the release of IOS12 some time has passed and the situation is not definitely fixed. Everything in our hands to give creators the highest priority.

Can anyone please test ios 12.3 beta 2? I tested a bit and I dont want to be that guy and I really hope I sont regret saying this but for me, stuttering seems finally fixed. The swipe up for homescreen animation is fluid after waiting 10 seconds in idle.

Edit: I posted this and let my xs in idle for a minute while I was drinking and the animation didnt stutter. Knock on wood guys.

It’s still there...

I think the problem is with the Power management controller made by Apple-Foxconn
https://wccftech.com/iphone-models-...chips-dialog-gets-fewer-orders/#disqus_thread
Applr is getting gready, they are not satisfied being 1 trillion dollar company, they want more. They want more from you, more from Qualcomm, more from Intel, more from imagination Technologies, more from Foxconn, more from everyone.
The best proof that Apple is scamming customers and their products are way overrated is the money they have. 1 trillion. I really dont understand why paying thousands for an iphone when there are sites like ifixit that tells you that total cost of an iphone is around 400. Now from 400 to 1300 is triple the price. I understand r&d, marketing, profit, but triple????
2 diffrent power controllers. As always, Apple wants to make experiments on you.
