@Robertoxxxl, @Christo128 - did you guys try out iOS 12.3 Beta 2? Any improvement?

haptic feedback is way smoother when you slide to task manager . My Xs max is still dropping frames but more rarely.. apart from that I can say that animations are quite slower .. or maybe it’s just me.. nothing new new ... after 1 day of usage I can say that it feels a little bit slower compare to 12.3 beta 1 ..

Is your name Robertoxxxl or Christo128?

Not yet. Waiting for the public beta release in the UK.
Just checked the beta, still stuttering on app closures and gaming still jitters. I switched on the animation just to double check but switched it straight off because I can’t bare it. Although Will keep you up dated on scrolling in safari and the phone in general( over the next few days) just because I haven’t the time at the moment.

iOS 12.3 public beta 2 installed about 30 minutes ago. I cannot reproduce the stutters anymore. Until now, the phone behaves flawless.
I’ll post again if anything changes.

Personally, I am waiting for the official release. at the moment the device will need to work and I can not take unexpected phone behavior by testing the beta software. I keep my fingers crossed for finally repairing the liquidity drops of the device and only in the next sequence new products and innovations! These are our expectations and priorities of APPLE !!

How about video stutter? Still got that? Thanks!

Yes, fingers crossed. But somethig was changed for sure. On all the other betas tested for months, I could replicate the stutter anytime I wanted.
Let’s hope it will be finally solved...

Seeing the light in the tunnel I prefer not to speak. Not once tested the beta version seemed to be much better, with the official release of the software instead of being 100% satisfied the situation returned to the starting point. Maybe this time the grace of the great APPLE will come to us;)

Same experience on Dev Beta 2. Stutter seems gone. Animations seem to be just a bit slower as well...I'm thinking the two of those are linked.

How do you mean 'slower'? Can you elaborate?

For the people who still see it in beta 2:

In which apps/games do you see stutters? I want to test a bit more. Which videos stutter? Please provide some links

I installed the public beta tonight of 12.3 beta 2 and now it’s working fine, no stutter anymore .

Is it worth going to the public beta? Like does it get rid of the stutters enough so that the bugs of 12.3 are bearable?

Wow, I am actually not seeing this issue anymore in 12.3b2. I had lost hope, but I can't repro the problem anymore as of now.

Can confirm this ! iPhone XS Max
Slowing the animation down has overall improved the UI massively. When you move left and right on the home screen, there is a better feel and the icons don’t jitter so much when leaving the screen. Prefer this update so much more than all the others. Still getting a feel for the gaming but seems to have improved massively. Will be checking video playback over the next few days as well as scrolling but overall, hopefully apple don’t mess this update up with subsequent ones.

I hope everyone who had this issue gives feedback on the beta apple feedback app so that apple are aware of the stuttering improvement.

What about power management, does it affect battery life?
Personally I would prefer less battery time than stutters.

Just goes to show that software struggles to keep up with the hardware. A perfectly good reason to wait at least a year on newly released models.

Me too.

So people. Today I exchanged my Xr. And the stuttering is still there. I have no mood to exchange again. I think everyone has the problem with the stuttering. Only most people do not mind or just do not see it. I hope ios 13 fixes the problem... I love IOS but the shuttering bothers me a lot.

Did you try iOS 12.3 Beta 2? Some people are reporting that the issues are gone.
