Huh? If the o/s responds to interrupts in real time, it’s a real time o/s. What is your definition of a real time o/s?If the cpu usage is spiking when the stutter occurs, that is lag. iOS is not a real time OS, nothing can fix it.
Where is there stutter? Everywhere? Specific screens? Safari? Pervasive or random?Still stutter in iOS 12.4
It's random. I can see stutter in everywhere.Where is there stutter? Everywhere? Specific screens? Safari? Pervasive or random?
Okay, thanks for clarification. I get some random stutters also, but not everywhere or all of the time. Not enough to say it’s bothersome. It's random. I can see stutter in everywhere.
I don't think so. My one month old iphone xs started stuttering after accidentally updating to ios 12.4. Its a software problem. Hopefully ios 13 will fix the stuttering issue. The stuttering is caused when you grip your iPhone on the bottom where the white bar is
Apple tech is aware but no solution to date
I would love to know that tooDoes anyone know has ios 13 beta fixed the stutter after 10 second inactivity issue?
I have the problem after updating to ios 12.4. My one month old iphone xs is acting crazy. It stutters while scrolling and it gets on my nerves. ios 13 beta 7 is out. Does someone know if ios 13 will fix this stuttering issue? any changes visible on ios 13 beta 7?
These issues appear to be highly individual. If one's phone did not have stuttering through ios 12, the phone won't have stuttering for ios 13.Does anyone know has ios 13 beta fixed the stutter after 10 second inactivity issue?

If your phone is affected by the "stuttering issue" in ios 12, ios 13 will not resolve it for you.
Ios 13 Beta 7 seems solid to me, just some random stuttering here and there.
IMO, I don’t think is a universal statement all Xs max suffer from stuttering.I've been using a 7+ since launch and its been a great phone but I've been thinking of snagging a cheap 256GB XS Max as they seem to be going for around £800 brand new now and only to get cheaper next month with the 11 coming out.
I had a quick play with one in my local O2 store and something that I noticed immediately that with opening up various apple apps, scrolling though, shutting them down etc the animation was not very smooth. My 7+ is much more smoother doing the same thing.
I had a check of the iOS version the store XS Max was running iOS 12.1.
It got me wondering when I got home why the XS Max was like this as I was expecting it to be very smooth and then I came across this thread.
Am I right in saying that all XS Max suffer the stuttering problem?
Xs Max I bought suffered of it, so I returned it. Tried many xs/maxes since (stores and friends) and all had the stutter.Am I right in saying that all XS Max suffer the stuttering problem?
I agree with youXs Max I bought suffered of it, so I returned it. Tried many xs/maxes since (stores and friends) and all had the stutter.
Try a few xs/maxes, like I did. Unlike me, maybe you will find one without stutter. But I suspect that if you see it on one, you see it on all.![]()
As far as I know, the stutter will be not fixed in iOS 12 updates.12.4.1 is out. Did anyone download it? Any bugs? or did it fix the stuttering?
I suspect the power management chip alternative, just like lte modems, apple uses 3 types of it. It a chinese/Taiwanese the one with the problems.I doubt very much that the stutter will be ever fixed. I am guessing that it is a problem with the A12 SOC. My reason for thinking this is the fact that there are embarrassing stutters in the iPad Mini 5, which uses the same chip. They don't appear when scrolling but when using slide-over multitasking: the animations are always very jerky when moving the slide-over app off the screen. The stutters also appear in the page turning animations in the Kindle app. My iPad Mini 4, whose chip is 4 generations older, has completely smooth animations in both situations.
This issue should be embarrassing to Apple, but apparently sufficiently few people are bothered by it that Apple is not likely do do anything. It was immediately visible and annoying to me last Christmas when I bought my XS Max and I returned the phone within the 14 day window (I also didn't like the off-axis blue in the display or the notch). I wasn't about to pay $1500 for a phone which is inferior in many ways to my 7+.
One hopes that things will be fixed in the A13.
