oh okay - maybe it's because your is 16gb - I do know that I ordered between 5 and 5:30am eastern on 10/7 and around 9 am I had the funds reflected on my online statement. So I am confident I will be receiving my order on 10/14

Does it matter on the model phone? I would think that they would process on a first come first serve no matter the model phone.

Odd, when did you place your order?

I am not sure but even with that - I would still be included in the first come first serve - since I ordered very early.

Yeah you have nothing to worry about. AT&T told me on the phone that orders processed after 4pm EST will have delayed shipping. That means we are safe :)

My email says 14-21 days but the rep told me to ignore that because my order was processed at 1130 EST and now it shows my items are no longer back ordered :)

It probably has something to do with the size of the iPhone and the system update. HOPEFULLY LOL!

Ordered mine from Apple so don't have that. Of course it does say on at&t that shipping could not be guaranteed so that's why I went with Apple.... 14 Oct 11 delivery is saaaweeet!

On another note, why do people feel the need to list all of their i devices? I've never really understood that. Of course some people list their bikes on my sportbike page and markers on many of the paintball forums but I don't get them either..... I just don't get it.

Everyone who preordered is in the same boat right now. If u ordered early enough, u will get on launch day. Doesn't matter if u ordered from apple, AT&T, sprint, or Verizon. the preorder units ALL go through apple. When all those units were sold, it was sold out. So ALL the people who ordered early enough, should have no problems getting on launch day. If u waited until Friday afternoon or evening, u may have some issues.

If ur status on AT&T says "processing" and shows ur 3 line items (phone, sim, and freight) as "backordered" u are fine. The only other option is "shipped" which it won't be until it goes out the door. If u call 1-866-391-0749 and enter ur order # and it says something like "ur order is being processed and is being sent to some warehouse for shipping" u are good to go.

Thanks for clarifying that for us :D

Well through that number it says my order can't be found - when I check thru dialing 611 it says back ordered - so obviously the system is not cohesive.

I pre-ordered mien from AT&T around 4:10am and it's still backordered. Last year mine was never back-ordered and people who's phone was backordered got it a day before mine lol so I'm not too worried.

Lol. It's about time someone pointed that out. I really don't understand why people think other people (who you really don't know) would care about what you own or don't own. If it's for bragging rights, congrats on being the epitome of consumer overspending, materialism, and greed of today's society.

As for my iPhone orders, my were placed in an AT&T store at 10:45am EST. All mine still say backordered. I'm not worried though because not only did my orders last year remain "backordered", but also remained "pending shipment", even after receiving my iPhone.
