I can totally understand people being frustrated with all the conflicting info being given by ATT reps, email, etc. And it is also very important to most of us to time everything right so we sell our old phone not too much before we get our new phone, since nowadays going days without a cell phone is a big deal for being connected with work and family.
However, I will say those of you who are going to be without a phone because you sold yours or timed it in a way that you MUST get the new phone the 14th, I think you should have planned a bit better. We know from past experience that even if you are sitting by your computer at midnight when preorders start, the demand is so much that there is never a guarantee that you will get your phone on launch day. Between server problems with so many people buying, the demand, etc, I think every person who preordered the Iphone 4s was well aware of the fact that they could possibly receive their phone after the 14th. When this happened to me last year with the iphone 4 and best buy, I vented on forums as well, there is nothing wrong with that. It's frustrating, and there is nothing wrong with venting. I am just saying that I can see both sides of the argument, I guess.
