iPod Shuffle Released

first day back at work

i am a webmaster a metal shop here in Indiana, and i also help out in the shop a few days of the week. It gets really noisy in there what with all the machines running. Today was my first day to take my Shuffle with me and it performed with flying colors. I did an autofill as i woke up to take a shower, and when i came back it was all ready for me. I snatched it from my hub and was out the door, shuffle in pants pocket. At the shop, i turned on my shuffle, without putting it on hold, and the hours flew by. I heard songs I didn't know i even had. it was awesome! heh.. things get lost in so much music. Anyway, with the shuffle in my pocket i was able to access the controls without taking it out so that it didnt get covered in grease and what not. Absolute delight. And with over 18 hours of music on mine at 128, i wont have to refill for another couple days!

My 1GB Shuffle landed at Cardiff airport at 7.30 this morning, which is only 24 miles away so hopefully will get to me today.

Only problem being I had i sent to my parents house as my post has a habit of going missing here, not realising it would be TNT not the royal mail, regardless that is some stupid quick delivery, hope everyone else has got there's also.

That's great!! Mine is still out for delivery... (has been since 9.01 and it's 12.11 now) Kind of strange considering TNT's local hub is about 15 minutes from my place by car, but I'm blaming it on the snow. Just hope it comes soon... I'm going to class in about half an hour!

Got it a couple of hours ago, it's charging right now. It does, unfortunately, block my other USB port (so I can't charge while using my USB mouse), but I'll probably charge overnight after this, so that shouldn't be a big problem.

It's so tiny!

Wohoo I got my iPod shuffle 1 gig, I think i'm one of the first in the UK, anyway just as small as you would expect, BUT the weight is incredible, it's like a feather! Its really beautiful and the controls feel great.

I think you can tell i'm more than happy with my purchase,

Hi there, I live in the UK, I ordered my shuffle online on the 14th Janurary. I havent had an email saying it has been despatched. Does anybody that got theirs in the UK know when abouts I should expect mine? Are the Estimated shipping dates right?

You know how things are always a bit larger and a bit heavier or different from what you expect when you see them online and then see them in real life? Well the iPod shuffle IS different from what I expected... it's much smaller than it looks online and even lighter than I expected!!! It's so gorgeous! My precioussss... Feels very sturdy too. The only negative aspect I can think of is that it blocks the ports next to it... but that I can live with. I played with it for an hour or two now and it really doesn't bother me that there is no screen... besides, it's really too small to have something usable.

VERY VERY HAPPY!

p.s. I ordered about 30 minutes after the keynote and live in Sweden. Estimated time of shipping was on or before 25/1 and it shipped on Saturday (although TNT didn't pick it up till yesterday).

I ordered my shuffle on the 12th of Jan and received it today at lunchtime. Once you get e-mail that it is shipped you should get it in the next 2/3 business days, mine only took two. Good Luck you will enjoy it when it arrives, I still can't get over the sound quality on something so small and light.

I'm also in the USA.. I ordered my 1GB Shuffle shortly after the keynote (when the store came back online) and the status is showing on or before 1/27. I really hope to get a shipping confirm email sometime tomorrow.. at least my fingers are crossed! A guy I know who works for Apple has one already and I played around with it... much smaller and lighter than I expected.

I ordered my 512Mb as soon as the Apple Store reopened right after the keynote on the 11th. The shipping date was January 19th.

On January 19th the date got changed to "on or before January 27" and Apple called me to notify me of the change. I was disappointed, but somehow not surprised.

Yesterday morning, my order status got changed to "shipped" - and Apple had changed my 2-3 day shipping specification, to "Priority Overnite". It was delivered to my house this morning. Woo hoo, that was quick, as it was shipped from California, and I live near Montreal.

My iPod Shuffle is now plugged into the front USB port of my G5, almost fully charged... however I've already loaded about 490Mb of music onto it (it took about 3 minutes from start to finish). What a tidy little gizmo this is!

i ordered mine at about 9 pm pacific time the night of the keynote. and shipping was always "on or before the 28th", but i just received shipping confirmation that my 2 1GB shuffles will arrive on the 27th (via fedex ground since i live in california). you should hopefully receive a shipping notice soon...

Yup, got it this afternoon.

I've got the standard shipping and the tracking # isn't popping up on UPS' end yet, so I'm guessing 2-3 days.

iPod Shuffle - It's like your favorite radio station but without ads.

Thats a good idea. I think Apple needs to do some convincing to people who don't really see any point in the Shuffle. When I first heard about it, I was disappointed that it was nothing special. Now I want one!
