oh, i think stevie decided to not release 2.0 ;-)

itunes is again saying, 1.1.4 was the latest version.

microsoft must have taken over apple, my favourite company would do thinks as buggy as it's actually running.

Message to Cupertino: phone Akamai!

This launch has been a little ambitious - or maybe we're all just too eager.

When I plugged my iPod into my PowerBook it showed that the update was available. I don't know if this has been posted but just letting you guys know.

Edit: And just a couple of minutes later it shows 1.1.4 again. I am really annoyed now.

Same Here Dude

I tried installing both of the DMG's, for one it says that it can't be opened, and the other one prompts for a password that isn't my admin or user password.

Download it with Firefox, not Safari. Safari messes it up. It should look like a brick, not a folder.

Damnit, I'm a moron. I need to redownload with Firefox now. The file I needed was probably in the trash (which I emptied, because I'm retarded).

The download gave me a folder containing these three things:

Even though it says it finished downloading...

You can't use the unzipped version. Throw that folder away.

The original zip file is in the trash drag it out. remove the .zip extension - leave the .ipsw extention, then in iTunes click restore while holding the option button and select the file. It takes about ten minutes or so to do the update.
