anyone aware of any touch available in cambridge UK?
I went to the camcon apple premium reseller and they said they may arrive wednsday..

argos??

thanks

I live in Cambridge also. It is a shame that Cancom don't have them in stock. I was hoping maybe another electrical store would have them.

Just checked Currys in Lion Yard and the Argos outside the Grafton center and neither had them in stock, Currys just have the new Shuffles, Nanos and classics. Argos had posters up in the front window for the new range (touch included) but I asked the cashier and they're apparantly coming in the next few weeks.

so my shipment is "prepared for shipping", does this mean it will ship next week, or not until beginning of october? (it says delivery at 8-9 october)

Hi
I went into Cambridge today also. I too looked in all of those stores, however in the end I managed to pre-order it from the Cancom down Regent Street. They are exceptionally helpful and promised to email when they received them.

I think I might be one of the only people here that has ordered from Argos so here is a rather sad update:

They have sent me a letter telling me that it will ship between September 28th and October 12th! Damn, so much for the Monday 24th delivery! Looks like the cashier was misinformed when she told me it was "in stock" in their main warehouse. Now it looks like another week to two week wait :(

The worse thing was this mornings post. My Dad answered the door when I was still in bed, my ears pricked up ;) I heard him mumble something about my name, I ran downstaires expecting my lovely new touch and he said I had a letter, it was the dreaded "you're gonna have to wait till October" one. The parcel, it was my Dad's new stationary for work :(

I'm posting this from a touch in the Apple Store in Bluewater and it rocks! Out of stock though but its just so cool and the keyboard takes getting used to but it gets easy!!!

Hello! I just registered to say that I was in John Lewis in Watford today and they had the 16Gb iPod Touch in stock. I was very close to buying one but as far as I could tell they were all from the week 37 batch so I held back.

But if you feel like gambling, they had about 10 or so left at 3 o'clock this afternoon.

Thanks for the info. I rang John Lewis Norwich this morning and they assured me they had them but were still in the warehouse  I'll take a look tomorrow I guess but I'm not chancing a Week 37 either. Did you actually check the boxes for serial numbers?

I didn't check every box but I took a look at three of them and they all had week 37 serial numbers. They all had Corinne Bailey Rae on the front too.

Yea if you order online now i think you will get a week 38 one.
cos there not shipped yet so i think u will get a good screen if u order online now.

Its not too difficult for me to get to the Regent Street store so I'm going to wait until someone reports that the week 38 batch is in stock and then try and pick one up then.

(uk) As advertised on the front page of their website the 16Gb model is instock at
Currys (use the promo code 'YAW808' at the checkout to get 5% off, £255.55)
Dixons

I Got One!!!

I picked one up yesterday from the new Apple store that opened I'm the Touchwood Centre in Solihull. What can I say? This is such a fantastic device from which I'm currently writing this post!

Any news on countries other than uk? For example Sweden :D

Should I expect non-faulty units or will there be a lot of week-37-ipods?

I think Apple will only ship good ones to the rest of europe from now on. All the faulty ones are spread across the US and UK. :)

Well isnt it possible that a lot of ipods have been lying around for a while in stock to wait for release?

I was in Berlin last week but couldn't find any in stock. Although, to be honest I didn't really know where to look...
